Welcome to

Faith Lutheran Learning Center

FLLC provides a year-round preschool program for ages 2-6 years (sometimes students are enrolled between 18-24 months). There is also an after-school program for Cassidy Elementary students and a summer camp for K-5 students from any school. The summer camp has an annual waitlist and is a separate enrollment from the after-school program.

Overview of Preschool Curriculum

At FLLC, we believe children learn through play. We provide opportunities for students to explore, observe, socialize, problem-solve, and develop social-emotional skills through free-choice play, outdoor play, and small group activities. The curriculum is theme-based, with teachers targeting KY Early Learning Standards for planning and assessment. We incorporate these standards into our lesson plans and use them for ongoing assessment. Teachers communicate with families regarding their child’s development and mastery of each standard. Mutual goal setting is recommended early in the year; parent-teacher conferences are held 1-2 times each year.

Statement of Purpose

The purpose of Faith Lutheran Learning Center is to serve the community and enrich families by meeting the individual needs of children for physical, intellectual, social-emotional, and spiritual development. We believe early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploration, learning, and discovery.

Outdoor Areas

Children typically spend the majority of their day outside. We have 4 primary areas which allows each class to be in separate areas as needed. These include a garden, a "loose parts" area, 2 playgrounds, and a hard surface area (for wheels, chalk, and water fun).
