Privacy Policy for Flipify
Privacy Policy for Flipify
Last updated: April 26, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Flipify handles information when you use the Flipify Android application published by codeBage (Developer). Contact: support.codebage@gmail.com
By installing or using Flipify you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
What Flipify does
Flipify converts videos you select from your device into hand-drawn flipbook-style videos. The conversion runs on your device. Your videos are not uploaded to our servers.
Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
When you tap Pick a video, Android grants Flipify temporary read access to that one file. The file is processed in memory on your device and is never transmitted to us. The processed output is saved to your device's gallery in Movies/Flipify.
2.2 Information collected automatically
We do not run our own analytics. However, the App uses third-party SDKs that collect limited information automatically:
Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Used to serve interstitial, rewarded, and native ads. AdMob may collect your advertising ID (AAID), IP address, device model, OS version, coarse location derived from IP, app package name, and ad-interaction events. See Google's policy at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Google Play Services and ML Kit Subject Segmentation. Used to cut the subject out of each frame on-device. The segmentation model runs entirely on your device. Frame data is not sent to Google. Google Play Services may log diagnostic information (model version, device type, install events) per Google's standard Play Services privacy practices at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Crash and performance logs. Android may collect anonymous crash reports through Google Play. We do not bundle any third-party crash reporter.
2.3 What we do NOT collect
We do not collect your name, email, phone number, address, or account credentials. We do not upload, view, store, or share the videos you process. We do not require account creation or sign-in.
Permissions we request
INTERNET. Loading ads and the on-device ML Kit model on first run.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE. Detect Wi-Fi versus mobile data before downloading the segmentation model.
READ_MEDIA_VIDEO (Android 13 and above). Read the single video you pick.
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below). Same as above on older Android.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and below). Save the exported video to your gallery on older Android. On Android 10 and above, saving uses scoped MediaStore and no permission is needed.
You can revoke any permission at any time in Android Settings, Apps, Flipify, Permissions.
Ads
Flipify is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. Ads may use your AAID (advertising ID) to serve more relevant content. To limit this:
Reset advertising ID. Android Settings, Privacy, Ads, Reset advertising ID.
Opt out of personalized ads. Same screen, Opt out of Ads Personalization.
Children. Flipify is not directed to children under 13 (see section 7).
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties except:
Google AdMob. As part of ad serving (see sections 2.2 and 4).
Google Play Services and ML Kit. Local on-device processing and diagnostic telemetry per Google's policy.
Legal compliance. If required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
Data retention
Videos and frame data. Held in device memory only during render. Deleted automatically when render finishes or fails.
Exported MP4. Saved to your gallery. Delete it anytime via your Files or Gallery app.
Ad SDK data. Retained per Google's policy.
Children's privacy
Flipify is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App and provided information through a third-party SDK, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to help.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access the personal information held about you, request deletion of your personal information, opt out of personalized advertising, and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
Because Flipify itself does not collect personal information, most requests should be directed to Google (AdMob and Play Services are the controllers of any data they collect): https://safety.google/privacy/privacy-controls/.
For any concerns specific to Flipify, email support.codebage@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
8.1 EU and UK users (GDPR)
Legal basis for processing through AdMob is legitimate interest in funding a free app, and consent where AdMob's UMP consent dialog is shown. You can withdraw consent at any time through AdMob's About this ad link or by uninstalling the App.
8.2 California users (CCPA and CPRA)
We do not sell personal information for money. Sharing of advertising identifiers with AdMob may be considered a sale or share under California law. You may opt out via the device-level controls in section 4.
Security
The App processes your video in device memory. We do not transmit your video data over the network. Standard Android sandboxing protects the files Flipify can access. No internet-facing service is operated by the Developer.
International transfers
Some third-party SDKs (notably Google AdMob) may process data in the United States or other countries. By using the App you acknowledge this may happen, subject to those providers' own safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. The Last updated date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted in the Play Store listing.
