Flipdown ("the app") is developed by Carlyon Apps ("we", "us"). This page explains, plainly, what information the app handles and how.
THE SHORT VERSION
No account, no sign-in. The app never asks who you are.
- Your countdowns stay on your device. Event names and dates are never sent to us.
- Ads run through Google AdMob, which may use a device ad identifier. See below.
- Purchases go through Google Play Billing. We never see your payment details.
INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE
Flipdown does not require an account, sign-in, or any personal details to use. The only information you enter is the countdown data you create yourself: an event name and a date. This is stored only on your own device, inside the app's local storage, and is never sent to us or to any server.
If you use the share feature, an image of your countdown is generated on your device and handed to whichever app you choose to share it through (Messages or WhatsApp, for example). Flipdown does not see or store where you send it.
ADVERTISING
Flipdown shows ads through Google AdMob to keep the app free. AdMob may collect and use device identifiers (such as your advertising ID), general location (such as country or region), and app usage information to show and measure ads, in line with Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
You can control ad personalisation for your device in your phone's system settings, typically under Settings, Privacy, Ads.
IN-APP PURCHASES
Flipdown offers an optional one-time "remove ads" purchase, processed entirely through Google Play's billing system. We do not see or store your payment details; that information is handled by Google under the Google Payments Privacy Notice.
NOTIFICATIONS
Flipdown can notify you as a countdown gets close, for example one week or one day before. These notifications are generated and scheduled entirely on your device and never involve sending data to us.
DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
Your name, email address, or contact details. Your precise location. Anything we would sell to a third party.
CHILDREN
Flipdown is not directed at children and is not designed to appeal primarily to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age where you live.
YOUR CHOICES
Since your countdown data lives only on your device, uninstalling Flipdown removes it completely. You can also remove an individual countdown at any time by deleting its widget from your home screen.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
