Performers

Performer applications for Fleurieu Folk Festival 2019 are now closed

We receive a large number of applications - many more than we are able to book - and we are not able to provide all those booked with a chance to perform on a main stage, although there will be opportunities to perform at an open-mic concert, and of course everyone is welcome to join in the sessions. Applicants will be notified sometime in June whether we have been able to fit them into the program.

Volunteers

One of the best ways to have fun at the Festival is by being a volunteer. By volunteering, you will make new friends and obtain great satisfaction from ensuring everyone has an enjoyable and memorable time at the Festival. A good festival requires lots of volunteers and your skills and time will be highly valued.

Stallholders

The Festival attracts a wide range of patrons of all ages, including some from Interstate. We aim to attract stalls that will provide Festival patrons with an enticing selection of craft and merchandise and good food. We encourage Australian handcrafted and homemade specialist goods and stalls that are bright and festive with a clean appearance and of interest.

Judith Crossley Memorial Songwriter Award

The Judith Crossley Memorial Songwriting Award was founded to encourage the writing of songs that tell South Australian stories: songs about South Australian people and places, songs about South Australia’s past and present. The Award was made possible by the legacy of the late Judith Crossley, who was during her lifetime a well-known figure on the South Australian folk scene and was herself a fine songwriter. The songwriting Award that bears her name continues one of Judith Crossley’s passions: the telling of South Australian stories in song.

The Judith Crossley Memorial Songwriting Award is held each year as part of the Fleurieu Folk Festival. For details, refer to Write a Song
