Fleurieu Folk Festival recognises and pays respect to the Kaurna People, who are the traditional owners of Willunga.
We recognise their connection to land, waters and community and pay our respects to them, their cultures, and their Elders, past and present.
The Willunga Basin is named after the Kaurna place name, Willangga, which is a traditional Kaurna cultural landscape rich with the history of the Kaurna Meyunna, the Kaurna People.
