I'm happy that you got your box back into working state (I would disagree that it was "bricked" in the first place), and I can share your joy about that. However, I can't see what any of this has to do with OpenWrt. This is the original manufacturer's firmware, no?
Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions. Well, I fought once with another stubborn router which initially worked with dd-wrt but then stopped to do so and now will not flash anything at all (even the recovery mode doesn't work anymore). But I gave up on it and because I'm not in a big need at the moment I'll leave that EasyBox 904 as it is - with its original firmware. If I change mind I'll poke you guys with a message here.

That was my post from the old forum, and now I'm basically at the same point again after three years Apparently there are different firmware formats, since even the latest official one from the vodafone website is apparently no longer accepted via tftp.

Hi, sorry if this sounds really nooby, bought an easybox 904 not realising the APN was locked, I don't suppose someone could help me change the APN via telnet? I've found a few guides but all have had dead links to the image files that (I think) I need to gain access to the telnet, again sorry for my inexperience, any help is greatly appreciated
I read online its a firmware problem, but unfortunetly there is no firmware on samsung page, just manuals and easybox. I already checked for frimware for US ver. of the same monitor (read it works for EU ver. too). Samsung technical support is not very helpful and says that they only have whats on the page...
I would really like to get a newest stable firmware. If u do not have it for EU ver. the US ver. will be fine (S27AG520PN / LS27AG520PNXZA). I saw that @Emmi S helps here a lot if it comes to firmware.
Thanks to the latest firmware version, I was able to update my "LS27AG520NUXEN" from 1002.1 to 1004.4. Now I would love to know what got changed between these version, is there some kind of changelog/patchnotes?
i have exactly had a same Problem with you. Same GPU 7900XT POWERCOLOR, but mine is Odyssey G5 IPS 32" Flat. I try everything to fix the problem , from check the monitor problem at the store, until return the GPU with a new one, buy a new DP Cables.
When monitor ttest with NVIDIA GPU, HDR ON/OFF, 165hz , using DP , it when Normal. *****! LOL. but i comeback home and try with 7900xt, the problem still exist .
Is this the firmware work with all odyssey monitor including mine ? and how's the problem ? thx @Emmi S

Yes, Easybox 803 datasheet says the same and guess what? It was working on Annex A (POTS) for years in my home. It was enough to change firmware to Annex A and remove/bypass frequency filter.
I don't care about official device datasheets, I care about real internals power HW is capable of Annex A, only question is how to force it to load firmware.
The performance of the Box with OpenWRT is not good. Only half of the possible download.
To connect the Line, there was a little handwork necessary.

This is the Vodafone Vox2.5 CPE shipped for different type of fixed lines technology in various countries. There exists three known clones of the same product made by different vendors over time (ADB, Huawei and Sercomm) which share the same exact hardware specs and firmware releases, despite different board designs. It supports both ADSL2+/VDSL2 broadband connections through DSL modem and fiber lines by Ethernet WAN port. Provides also two FXS ports for VoIP-to-POTS telephony gateway features.
We'll need to get admin access to the OEM firmware web interface. Therefore if you don't know the admin password, first a factory reset to the default config is required, otherwise start at step 4.
OpenRG firmware remote upgrade images are in .rms file format, binwalk+fmk is capable of unpacking the rootfs image found in these files. Bootloader doesn't get updated and its version string matches the first firmware image originally flashed in factory.
There exist VSR firmware variants for all three hardware versions described in this page. The same firmware upgrade .rms file is shared among all of them. For safety, we assume each device can't run a firmware older then its bootloader, as older firmwares are likely not supporting newer clones boards.
The great solution was to take another DSL-Router with Modem function this was a Vodafone easybox 802 model.
I disabled all unnecessary functions like: WLAN, NAT, DHCP and other bullshit. This should be a pure and stupid DSL-Modem. This setup worked great but some websites were not accessible. This was not a firewall (iptables) or MTU/PMTUD problem.
I tried to unpack the firmware file with the tools I found, but although they can deobfuscate the firmware of other Arcadyan devices, they could not do the same for mine. I just bought a converted router from T-Mobile RT-AC1900 to Asus RT-AC68U. The current firmware version is 3.0.0.4.376.47_0 (Merlin). I probably need to update the firmware to run a VPN client on it and I also experience weak wifi signal comparing to my other router that I got from my ISP it doesn't even have external antennas...lol.
