In celebration of Pride month 🏳️🌈, a number of our FutureLearners got together for a Queer Themed Movie Night last Thursday 🎥
It's important to celebrate those that fought for the LGBTQ+ rights we have today. Most notably - to draw strength from their experiences, providing much needed communal healing within the LGBTQ+ community, and all marginalised communities!
We're so grateful to @Marsha P. Johnson, a trans woman of colour, for starting the struggle. We're also grateful to FutureLearn for encouraging us to go through the healing by watching Marsha’s film together, ‘The Death and Life of Marsha P. Johnson’.”

To celebrate the end of the year, the LGBTQ+ allies community in London went to see the risque Pantomime "Dick Whittington: A new Dick in town" at Above the Stag in Vauxhall. Pride events were cancelled across the UK for the second year in a row, so we decided to have our own FutureLearn Pride event to celebrate our LGBTQ+ colleagues and support the community. FutureLearners past & present descended upon City of Quebec in Marble Arch for drinks and a drag show. For many, this was the first time meeting their colleagues since Lockdown, and it was wonderful. Connie even arranged for us to walk away with our own FutureLearn Pride Badges.
