Fiona Young
I am a 5th year Ph.D candidate in mathematics at Cornell. My advisor is Ed Swartz. I am fortunate to be funded by an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.
My research interests are in combinatorics and discrete geometry with an emphasis on polymatroids from a polytopal point of view. I am currently trying to leverage the natural matroid and the k-natural matroid of a k-polymatroid to gain a better understanding of the latter.
I plan to graduate in May 2024.
