3 days later, my track had a little under 6,000 plays from all over the world. According to Spotify for Artists, 100% of these came from other user's playlists. However after I looked at which playlists the song was discovered in, things started to get a little iffy. I was put into two playlists, one named "the united states of afrobeat" and another one named "2014 indie september". This was a little strange to me considering number one, my music is heavy metal so it's in no way "afrobeat", and second, my song I selected came out in December last year so it's not fitting in "2014 indie september" either.

I have a very good feeling that these were bots. Especially considering both of those playlists had like ~200 followers each but were pulling in 2,000 plays per song. The graph trend for the song's plays went up then down like a super skinny rainbow, and I have not gotten any new listeners since, which really adds to my conclusion that I think they were bots. I do not recommend buying from this person, he seems very untruthful.

This guy (from the United States) claimed he was a rapper with experience in the industry and could promote my track "organically" via email lists and he would also make google ads for my song. I got 2,668 plays on the song that I selected but I'm not really sure if it was bots or not. The graph shows it went up, then down, then up again, like a small V, so I don't really know if it was bots, because if it was bots it would have just gone up and then down again like my song did in the last promotion. But at the same time, 100% of the plays came from my profile, I had no new saves, and I have not gotten any new streams since, so I'm calling this guy a fraud and a bot-seller too.

This guy (from Bangladesh) was another seller I bought from, he claims to be a professional digital marketer with 7 years of experience. So I bought from him, and I got 2,183 plays on my song. This one was like the Trillcut one, the graph did the weird up then down then up again thing and 100% of my plays came from my profile. I got no saves on my song, and haven't gotten any streams since, so I'm calling bots on this one.

He had a whole ton of marketing gigs for various different things on his profile so I believed him when he claimed he was a digital marketing expert.
