We appreciate your interest in our mobile app "5 Minute Relationship Repair" and its associated website. The protection of your personal data is very important to us. Below, we inform you in detail about how we handle your data.
1. Data Controller The party responsible for data processing is:
Marco Wopkes von-Hirschberg-Str. 15 91301 Forchheim Germany Email: fiveminuterepairs@gmail.com
2. Data Processing on This Website
Hosting with Google Sites: This website is hosted via Google Sites, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Each time you access the website, Google technically collects data such as your IP address, access time, and information about your browser and operating system. This data is necessary to ensure the secure and stable operation of the website. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in providing a secure and functional website, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. We have no direct influence on this data collection. For more information, please see Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Contact via Email: If you contact us by email, the data you provide (e.g., your email address, your name, and the content of your inquiry) will be stored to process your request. The processing of this data takes place for the purpose of carrying out pre-contractual measures or fulfilling a contract, or based on our legitimate interest in processing your inquiry, in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b or f GDPR. The data will be deleted once your inquiry has been definitively processed and no legal retention obligations prevent its deletion.
3. Data Processing in the "5-Minute Relationship Repair" App
Core Principle: Local Data Storage Protecting your privacy is the core principle of our app. All content you enter is stored exclusively locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to us or any third parties at any time and does not leave your device unless you initiate it yourself via the export function.
Data Stored in Detail and Its Purpose:
Couple Profiles & Repair History: If you provide names for yourself and your partner, the app stores all inputs from a completed repair session (selected feelings, fears, needs, custom texts, duration, and your final rating) in a local database on your device. This is done to provide you with the "Couple Profile Analysis" and "Session History" features.
Personal Pictures: When you use the feature to add custom background images, the pictures you select are copied into the app's private, protected storage on your device.
Love Statements: The personal statements you enter are also stored only locally on your device.
Data Export and Import: The app offers you the ability to export all of the locally stored data mentioned above (profiles, pictures, statements) into a single backup file. This process is initiated exclusively by you. You have full control over where this file is sent (e.g., via email or AirDrop to your partner). Likewise, you can import such a file to restore data.
Subscriptions and Payment Processing (RevenueCat): For handling and managing in-app subscriptions, we use the service RevenueCat, Inc. (233 Wilshire Blvd Suite 900, Santa Monica, CA 90401, USA). To verify your subscription status (e.g., active, expired, trial period) and allow you to restore purchases across devices, a pseudonymized user ID is transmitted to RevenueCat. This is done on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (performance of a contract), as it is necessary for providing and managing the subscription features. Since RevenueCat is located in the USA, data is transferred to a third country. An adequate level of data protection is ensured through the conclusion of Standard Contractual Clauses of the EU Commission with RevenueCat. At no time do we receive access to your personal payment data, such as credit card numbers or addresses. The actual payment processing is handled exclusively by the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. RevenueCat's Privacy Policy can be found here: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
4. Your Rights as a Data Subject (GDPR) You have the right at any time to information about any personal data we may have stored about you, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing (Art. 15 GDPR). Furthermore, you have a right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), or erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) of this data, provided no legal retention obligations prevent it.
You also have the right to request the restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) of your data. Insofar as we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest, you have the right to object to this processing (Art. 21 GDPR).
To exercise your rights, you can contact us at any time at the email address provided above.
Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority: If you believe that the processing of personal data concerning you violates the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR). The supervisory authority responsible for us in Bavaria is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 27 (Schloss), 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
