Open call:

Two postdoctoral positions in Algebraic Geometry are available at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Milano, as part of the research activities of this project.These are two-years positions with a possible extension of other two years and without teaching duties. The salary is around 2300€ per month after taxis, for 13 months.

The deadline for the application is August 4, 2026. To apply it is necessary to obtain the PhD degree before January 13, 2027. The starting date should be in October 2026.

Principal Investigator

Laura Pertusi

RTT (tenure-track assistant professor) at the Department of Mathematics of the Università degli Studi di Milano since July 2024.

Research interests: derived categories of coherent sheaves, cubic fourfolds, Gushel-Mukai varieties, stability conditions on triangulated categories, irreducible holomorphic symplectic varieties.

Post-docs
