First Page Fridays
Welcome to first page fridays!
Reading is something that we ALL really should do more of (myself included!). Besides all of the research that proves how instrumental reading is for our overall health, intelligence, vocabulary acquisition, and ability to empathize with more people in society, reading, with the right book, really can be a fun escape from the mundane.
Each Friday of the school year, I will share with you the FIRST PAGE of a (hopefully) new book that you might like to read. While listening to the first page, try to imagine being inside the story. Think about who the characters might be. And if you hear something that sparks your curiosity, I'll get that book (or something similar) in your hands as soon as possible.
This is not for a grade.
This is simply to expose you to your next favorite book that you might like to read. For fun. Yes, you heard me. For fun.
