Overview First Letter Uppercase / Auto Capitalize is a Chrome extension that automatically capitalizes the first letter in text fields while the user types.

Data collection This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. It does not read the content of what the user types beyond detecting punctuation marks to trigger capitalization.

Permissions used

Storage: used exclusively to save the user's preferences (enabled/disabled state and list of excluded sites) locally on the user's device.
Tabs: used exclusively to read the current tab's URL so the popup can offer a quick option to exclude that site. The URL is never stored or transmitted.
Host access (<all_urls>): required for the extension to operate on any website the user visits. The extension only interacts with text input fields to capitalize letters and does not access, read, or transmit page content.

Third parties This extension does not use analytics services, advertising networks, or any third-party services.
