First Ladies of Poverty Foundation, originally located at firstladiesofpovertyfoundation.org and now located at sites.google.com/view/firstgenerationwealthbuilders, officially launched in 2019 as a community organization teaching Building Wealth 101 courses and offering certification programming and self employment opportunities to escape the paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle in Northampton, MA and Springfield, MA.

Fast forward to today, we now serve as the catalyst for communities centers and resource hubs all over the U.S. to empower and esteem our diverse and international community of First Generation Wealth Builders Community-- those who are the first or one of the few in their family to think about or start the process of building generational wealth.

Today, First Ladies of Poverty Foundation (FLP Foundation) is a women-led, diverse group of individuals from a multitude of backgrounds dedicated to contributing their skills, talents and expertise to the service of significant poverty reduction starting with their communities and any community willing to work with us to alleviate poverty, which our Founder Shatoyia Jones defines as "living paycheck to paycheck", "low-quality living," and "lack of access to the essentials for an equitable opportunity at a higher quality of living and well-being." We now serve as the catalyst for educational resources, mentorship and certification / training curriculum to empower and esteem a community of diverse first generation wealth builders and second generation wealth builders around the globe.

Community Partnership Associate / Community Partnerships Specialist - Urgently Hiring

Title: Community Partnerships Associate - Urgently Hiring

Job Description: This is a position for a motivated individual with a high level of initiative, outstanding relationship building and collaboration, communication, facilitation and virtual appointment setting.

Assumes primary responsibility for outreach and results of outreach efforts with relevant organizations, brands and individuals.

Use FLP outreach templates to coordinate virtual meetings with Shatoyia and local community organizations to discuss hosting a Generational Wealth Bootcamp in communities

Researches, writes and contributes to the collaborative development of proposals for grants and other funding opportunities.

Handles sensitive and confidential materials in a professional manner.

Occasionally host virtual generational wealth circles.

Facilitates program development through knowledge of best practices, and identification of partner strengths and opportunities in addition to gaps in community care.

Occasionally serve as community liaison with new and existing partner organizations, providing support and responding to queries as they emerge

Assists in other First Ladies of Poverty Foundation community partnership initiatives and meetings as needed.

If you are interested in business and entrepreneurship, enjoy learning and teaching different ways to secure alternative forms of small business funding and would enjoy getting paid to help small business owners, especially underrepresented and under-resourced small business owners, secure funding and alternative forms of capital, this is the perfect role for you!
