The precautions include:
Never write down or otherwise record your security details in a way that can be understood by someone else.
Not choosing security details that may be easy to guess.
Take care to ensure that no one hears or sees your security details when you use it.
Pay customers can send money to and top-up the mobile account of their friends and families. Having access to customer’s contact list allows us to give our customers the convenience of easily choosing the recipient of the services from their contact list in one click. FirstCash takes contact number selected by user for transaction and stores the number for transaction history only.
It is a regulatory requirement in Bangladesh to verify customer’s identity through the national database. In order to do so, FirstCash needs to capture the picture of customer’s NID (national identity card) as well as customer’s photo, which is then verified with the Government’s database.
Since this is a financial service, we need to ensure security of customer’s account at all levels. Hence, location permission allows us to identify and potentially block suspicious transactions, which might not have occurred with the consent/knowledge of the customer. Also, we want to offer help our customers easily find our different service points, for which it is required to know the current location of the customer.
To ensure customer’s security, FirstCash verifies that the device being used to take the service belongs to the customer. For this purpose, an OTP SMS is sent to customer’s registered mobile number, which then auto-read by the app to verify authenticity. FirstCash is not storing any of the above information of customers. It is being used only for the specific purposes mentioned here.
In connection with the provision of the Service, FirstCash will not collect and process any personal data about you other than your given nid information. FirstCash's Privacy Statement as amended from time to time is available on the Website. By using our Service, you agree that FirstCash can use your data following our Privacy Statement and as otherwise set out in any applicable Service Specific Terms.
Save as provided hereunder, FirstCash will not share your personal information with unauthorized persons. Adequate safeguards have been put in place to prevent unauthorized access and to ensure the confidentiality of your personal information.
FirstCash shall take all required and reasonable measures to ensure the security of the FirstCash System. However, due to the virtual nature of the system and all of its components, which are exposed to security risks by their nature, including disclosure or modification of data installed on the system by unauthorized persons, a security risk exists. You acknowledge the existence of such security risk involved in the use of the FirstCash system.
