The eight Rotary Clubs in the Macarthur area – Camden, Campbelltown, Gregory Hills Next-Gen, Ingleburn, Macarthur Sunrise, Narellan, Picton and Wollondilly North are pleased to announce the 2026 “Rotary Clubs of Macarthur First Responders Awards”
ABOUT THE AWARDS
The Rotary Clubs of Macarthur First Responders Awards recognise first responders in both paid and volunteer positions in the Macarthur area.
In keeping with Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self”, the Awards acknowledge community service of:
· Fire and Rescue New South Wales
· New South Wales Ambulance
· New South Wales Rural Fire Service
· New South Wales State Emergency Service
The agency winners will automatically go forward as nominees for the respective category in the State awards program – Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards (RESCA).
THE AWARDS PROCESS
Service personnel can be nominated by colleagues, Rotarians and members of the general public. Nominations close Wednesday 18 February 2026
Nominations can be submitted by completing the online Nomination form
A panel of independent judges will then assess nominees on the following key criterion:
Community service over and above the call of normal duties, which best exemplifies Rotary’s motto of ‘Service Above Self’
The Awards consist of two levels:
Four Agency Winners
Fire and Rescue New South Wales
New South Wales Ambulance
New South Wales Rural Fire Service
New South Wales State Emergency Service
Macarthur First Responder of the Year
Volunteer
Salaried

Wednesday 18 February 2026 - Nominations close
Thursday 19 February 2026 - Finalists contacted
Wednesday 25 March 2026 - Awards Ceremony with family, friends, Rotarians and community members. Venue: West Leagues Club Campbelltown.
