Firman Witoelar Kartaadipoetra

Firman is an Associate Professor in  the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics, Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University.  He is an academic staff of  the ANU Indonesia Project and is currently the Lead Editor of the Bulletin of Indonesian Economic Studies.

Firman's research  is in the broad area of empirical development economics,  population economics,  health economics, survey design and methodology, and policy evaluation.  Since 2000, he has been involved with the development and implementation of the Indonesia Family Life Surveys, and was  one of the Co-Principal Investigators of IFLS4 (2007) and IFLS5 (2014). 

Firman holds affiliated appointments as a professor at the  Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and as a faculty affiliate at the CPC Learning Network, Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University. He is a also a research fellow at the ANU Policy Experiments Lab
