Firestorm Honey Guild

About Us

The guild meets monthly to learn both medieval and modern beekeeping methods, with hands-on hive inspections, hive building, honey harvesting, bee rescues, and public educational demonstrations. We are located in central Oklahoma.

The purpose of the guild is threefold:

  1. To provide a network of support among Oklahoma beekeepers interested in medieval practices;
  2. To facilitate interaction between beekeepers and related tradesmen (brewers, chandlers, etc.);
  3. To provide educational resources for newcomers (guild members and general public) to historical beekeeping practices.

News Update:

  • We elected officers at the November meeting, who will serve for another two years.
  • Thanks to generous donations from our SCA friends, we are looking into purchasing a tent/pavilion to use for demos and special events.
  • In November and December, we amended our bylaws to include the management of non-cash assets and preparation of financial statements. Our charter and bylaws can be seen under Documents in Resources & Links
