Firefox Extension Download Facebook Photo Album

Blink and you might miss Facebook Photo Album Downloader. The user interface involves a link on your right-click menu. Once we signed into our Facebook account, we visited our photo album, right-clicked, and selected the Download Photo Album option. The photo album quickly downloaded to our selected location. I was using chrome until now when I moved to Firefox. I used extension for Chrome that allowed me to show or download any image from website in full resolution. Today I see that FB fails to load my profile photo album. I get a spinning circle, description and comments section to the right is blank (or photo loads but no description). I check my connection activity, it's basically at 10 kbps. I run some speed tests, no problem.

So, there ought to be an easy way to download loads of photos from Facebook. So, I just couldn't let go of my initial failure in creating a similar firefox extension after spending so many hours trying, so I decided to as many more hours on top of those and then some... but *PHEW* I've finally made it, and in making so I've also decided to update the original chromium extension.

So, I tried to do the same extension but now for Mozilla Firefox (my "serious browser" while at home)... and well it turned out to be pretty serious business... after a couple of days or so... this afternoon I finally gave up on the task (at least for the time being). I probally could have made something with a similar functionally, albeit with a slightly different workflow, but for me it was all or nothing. So I give you... nothing (regarding firefox extensions... sorry :P)

All you need to do is right click on the name of the album you wish to download and choose the option to 'download album with FacePAD'. After this, you have to set the download directory and choose a name for the photographs. Then, it will only be a minute until you have all of the photos in the album.

To change the playback speed of videos in your photo album, you'll need a third-party video player. Of all the mobile media players, nPlayer is the best. It is available on iOS and Android. It supports popular video formats and allows you to play videos at various speeds from 0.5x to 4x.

Cooliris started off as a simple Firefox extension known as PicLens which enabled you to view online photos in a full screen slideshow. After some intensive development and a change of name, Cooliris is much more than just a simple slideshow.

There are lots of ways to download, no matter what browser you use. Flickr can just try to make it a little harder for people who do not know any other techniques than right-click. That's the way the web works.

But some also installs extension which can deactivate right-click protection on Flickr. Such extensions is available for all common browsers.

Of course, if the official download links was available, it sounds like a bug on Flickr. But your post doesn't tell exactly how the user has downloaded your pictures.

But official download links is not available for me, when I look at your photos in my Firefox.

It appears to be not that simple after all - on my version of firefox (the latest) there is not even a "tools" option, neither below the hamburger menu, nor on any sub menu. Unless I am blind.

EDIT: when I click on Web Developer, and then "Toggle tools", it seems I need to click on some wrench icon, which is not there and the whole quest stops. The only thing I can call up is some section displayed at the bottom of the page, with lots of tabs, among them, "console". But it seems unlikely I would find any photo there.

(That is one reason why I have begun to hate Firefox, the absolutely complexity and the user unfriendliness, ugh. If I recall correctly it didn't use to be that way. Oh well.)

EDIT 2: Here is a WikiHow article explaining the path which appears to correspond with your description. However, Firefox has changed all this, we are now saddled with the hamburger menu top right hand corner where these tabs are, at least for me, not to be found.
