Most problems with Firefox can be fixed by following the troubleshooting methods described below. Try these steps in order. If one doesn't work, move on to the next one. If you need extra help with any of this, we have a community of volunteers standing by.

Can you help us understand the needs you have that are not covered by it? In general we want to avoid the confusion of many channels for the same purpose, specially because we worked really hard to make our matrix server a safe and welcoming space for everyone.

Having identified a question and the related content, we can then streamline the process of finding an answer. Instead of making the user read all the content and extract an answer themselves, we utilize OpenAI's Chat API to craft a prompt. This prompt includes several system-level instructions about the desired tone and other related considerations, along with more technical guidelines, such as the requirement to always reply in markdown. We then use the previously related content as a context for the Chat API and ask the user's question on their behalf. This process enables a more efficient interaction, leveraging AI to help users access the information they need.

For some reason, whenever I update firefox (I change the version and run nixos-rebuild switch --upgrade) and then restart firefox, firefox resets itself (looses everything, history, bookmarks, cookies), even though /home/firefox/.cache, /home/firefox/.config, and /home/firefox/.mozilla still exists.

Hello

I recently installed Pihole and it works great in most cases. But I have some issues with Youtube. It doesn't block ads on Youtube (browser and app) except when I'm using firefox. Can anybody help me out please?

I have a clean installation of firefox. I just reinstalled it and it just works out of the box. Then I installed Waterfox which is based on firefox and it doesn't work. I'm using the default firefox settings and no adblock.

The ads next to the videos are replaced with connection errors and I don't get any video ads as it should be. On every other instance of youtube I get video ads as well as ads next to the videos.

Your Firefox profile are saved at ${HOME}/.mozilla/firefox, each profile being its own directory following the .xxxxxx naming convention is the one you want to save. Do note that it may not work across platforms if you copy and paste it as is, so you'd have to restore from ZorinOS or other Linux distributions as it will likely not load properly on Windows.

However, with OCSP stapling problems that used to definitely be with the OCSP server, now might be trouble on your web server. Apache is definitely capable of fetching a "try later" response and then stapling that to certificates and sending those over, which is, -ugh- I don't know how they thought that option was helpful.

Again I have no idea who thought this is helpful. But it could mean that the problem is with some network configuration for your server, which forbids it from accessing the OCSP server even though that server works for everybody else.

At first I just wanted to make this code work in webkit-based browsers and then add different approach for firefox, but I've found out that at least latest nightly firefox runs this code too, even if it's vendor-prefixed for webkit.

I won't worry if there was only one property, which can be either supported by firefox or not. But having 2 properties makes me nervous about the situation where only one of them is working. For example, supported -webkit-linear-gradient and unsupported -webkit-background-clip will work vastly different from my expectations. So, is there any way I can check browser support for multiple CSS rules and gracefylly switch to fallback if at least one of them is missing?

In these sort of situations, I always find it very helpful to check MDN. In this case, you can check the articles for linear-gradient, background-clip and -webkit-text-fill-color. Near the bottom, there is always a section titled Browser compatibility. It lists, in a table, browsers that support the CSS rules and in footnotes goes into specifics. For example, about the -webkit-text-fill-color, it says that

And I can confirm that removing gzip in my Caddyfile also fixes the issue! Thanks so much for helping me out with this @jjlin @dani, I would have never figured it out on my own. I edited -garcia/bitwarden_rs/wiki/Using-Docker-Compose to remove it from the example Caddyfile to save others the trouble!

Ironically, Brave and Iridium managed to launch normally on Windows 10 even though they are not officially supported by Sandboxie. However, I get error messages from Sbxie every now and again when starting these browsers. Because they are chromium-based browsers, here are the error messages just in case it would be of any help for resolving the issue with Chrome:

Open Webroot "Application Protection" module. Find list of Applications > firefox.exe and chrome.exe. Move Protection bullet at firefox.exe from "Protect" to "Allow" and launch Firefox.

Same with chrome.exe and launch Chrome.

Regarding Webroot SA so called Firewall. IMO - Webroot SA Firefox is not a true software Firewall. Think Connection Watcher. And think Webroot SA so call Firewall may not prompt for trusted programs. If you want further information - help regarding Webroot SA Firewall. I suggest Webroot Community > and Wilders Security Forum > -secureanywhere-discussion-update-thread.364655/

The last line contains the best clue; try running firefox from terminal and it may provide clues that allow us to help you. It may also provide details you can post into this discourse so we can help you too.

The following steps will help you kill the currently running Firefox processes on your machine, remove the locks on your Firefox profile (if it is running on a different machine), or create a new profile (if the profile you are trying to use can no longer be accessed).

In March 2011, Mozilla presented plans to switch to a faster 16-week development cycle, similar to Google Chrome. Ars Technica noted that this new cycle entailed "significant technical and operational challenges" for Mozilla (notably preserving third-party add-on compatibility), but that it would help accelerate Firefox's adoption of new web standards, feature, and performance improvements.[246][247] This plan was implemented in April 2011.[248] The release process was split into four "channels", with major releases trickling down to the next channel every six to eight weeks. For example, the nightly channel would feature a preliminary unstable version of Firefox 6, which would move to the experimental "Aurora" channel after preliminary testing, then to the more stable "beta" channel, before finally reaching the public release channel, with each stage taking around six weeks.[249][246][250] For corporations, Mozilla introduced an Extended Support Release channel, with new versions released every 30 weeks (and supported for 12 more weeks after a new ESR version is released), though Mozilla warned that it would be less secure than the release channel, since security patches would only be backported for high-impact vulnerabilities.[251][252] 17dc91bb1f
