My FireStick wifi trouble started soon after I attempted to run a send-receive thru ES FileExporer which must have corrupted the wifi configuration settings within the Network Settings module as it unsuccessfully attempted to create a hotspot on the stick! It wouldn't display any wifi ssids but displayed the shocking mssg Wired Ethernet Disconnected!! But fortunately my remote was still being sensed. As suggested above, I grudgingly did a Factory Reset and was greatly relieved to get the stick running normally again! Must be very cautious as creating a hotspot isn't supported on the FireStick TV and that screws up its wifi configuration. Thanks All!

Did the same thing with ES FileExplorer but remote also quit working. Connected 3 legged OTG cable to use usb mini keyboard for navigation. Able to get to settings for Factory Reset. Got remote working again ( ) Just dumb enough to try this ES FileExplorer thing again, this time only lost wi-fi. Not willing to do Factory Reset I kept playing around. Went to settings, >my account, >amazon account, and did the Deregister route. Wi-fi took care of itself and just had to Reregister the stick.

I was having trouble with my wifi router and had to get a new one but in the middle of all that my firestick went to no network so I kept putting in the information but it wouldn't accept it and then it just stayed stuck on the fireTv or firestick logo.
