I had my TS-431P set to have a static IP on a 10.0... network. I changed it back to DHCP and attached it to second router with a 192.168... network. This router is connected to the other router. The second router's GUI shows me what the new address is for the NAS but pinging it fails, same if I try to get to the NAS GUI. QNAP QFinder Pro can't find it either. I'm doing this from the second router as well so it should have worked. I'm not sure if this is relevant, but the NAS's DNS setting is hardcoded to a raspberry pi which is on the first router and all my other systems on the second router can see the rPi. The NAS has a blinking yellow light for LAN.

I just checked your qnap model. Roon Server will only be available on model with x86-64 cpu architecture. It seems the TS-421 is using an ARM cpu (Marvell) according to its technical specs.

I am sorry, but installing Roon Server on your QNAP is not possible.

After the Qfinder Pro is installed on your computer, launch it. The Qfinder Pro will automatically scan and find all your QNAP devices on your local area network. For example, you can select your QNAP NAS device, then, at the top left of the page, click the Login icon.

Note: QNAP Qfinder Pro is a highly advanced program, even compared to Synology Assistant. Graphically, it is very intuitive, and scanning the local network is done instantly, without having to wait at all.

Hi @kojogo, you can find the absolute path by either ssh into the identity folder, or easier still using WinSCP which will give you the absolute paths.

For WinSCP, to get the absolute path, go to the folder you want and the full path will be listed above the directory you are in.

Procedures 1.Check if you could ssh access the NAS and find System volume path 2.Download WinSCP from following link 3.Execute WinSCP.exe and choose SCP as File Protocol 4.Put the IP Address of the NAS (for example: 10.5.10.91) as...

Applicable Products: All NAS series Let's take a look at how to access your QNAP NAS by SSH from macOS/Linux/Windows Enable SSH service on the NAS If QTS web interface is not available Find NAS IP by Qfinder ...

In order to further track down the issue, I'd need to sort out the physical disk to device relationship. How can I find out this, e.g. md0 is a stripped volume on 2 disk (but I need to find out on what physical disk).

QNAP seems to be based on busybox. I do not find something like init / telinit / runlevel. At busybox docs it says that I need to run the commands below. But in /var/service sv is not available. Approach: I want to go to single user mode to unmount the devices.

This Partition is a RAID1 (Mirrored) array which qnap uses to store the firmware on its flash Drive (This is arranged as a mirrored raid for redundancy). When Firmware is downloaded and renewed this is updated onto both "drives" to enable greater security. (The device used for initial boot is actually a derivative of flash memory which is divided into two separate devices on one chip, which QNAP calls a "DOM", which I think means Disk on Memory.

even if you get the wd backup to work it buries the data down in a folder structure that you did not ask for (I think)

If you cant copy from the qnap, you can prob just use windows by the time you figure something out

When try to install uwsgi via pip3, it cannot find some openssl libraries, though I think they are installed. In similiar issues it was recommended to install libssl-dev but the package manager I am using (entware) does not have it.

After the software is downloaded, the Wizard will guide you through the installation process. At the end of the installation, the wizard will prompt you to open Qfinder Pro. If you want to come back to it later, you can access Qfinder Pro from the created desktop icon.

I have the same problem! the option to have our music that is on our network as a source has disappeared we only have My iphone and all the subscription services but not our network, this has disappeared since I last updated the app. Did you find out how to add your Nas in as a source?

I could use a new power supply for this model I listed above and have not been able to find anything from regular searches. I will be calling around during normal hours tomorrow, but thought it could not hurt to ask and see if anyone had a online resource i am not aware of for a device like this. ( i would hope a power supply would not be terribly expensive, this is my fear and another reason i am asking) these types of devices are fairly expensive to purchase and of course replace if not repair is not possible.

I was able to access the QNAP via smb connect, although the QNAP Qfinder app still won't connect. I would prefer to use the QNAP app, but technically your suggestion solved my problem, so (unless you want me to try something else) I'll mark this as resolved. Thanks!

When IDrive transfers your file, it calculates a checksum for all the data it sends, at the client side and the server side. After successful transfer of full file data, client checksum gets compared at the server end to find on wire corruption and if both checksum does not match then this error will be displayed for the respective file. Usually such an issue arises when files get updated from another source while getting backed up.

Next we need to find the UID/GID of the user we created earlier. This is needed so that the files created by the container are accessible by users on the host OS. Use your favourite method to ssh into the QNAP NAS and run the following command:

The latest version of QNAP Qfinder Pro is 7.9.1.817, released on 09/15/2023. It was initially added to our database on 10/08/2015. The most prevalent version is 7.9.1.817, which is used by 74 % of all installations.

Just like viruses, ransomware comes in all kinds of variations. However, the goal is always the same, find data, encrypt it and then ask for a ransom (hence the name). While most of them are created to target workstations and servers (specifically those juicy databases), ransomware creators are eager to exploit any vulnerabilities to get into a network. The recent QNAP NAS vulnerability is a good example of this where access could be gained using hard-coded credentials.

QVPN provides your NAS with a permanent /dev/net/tun device used by ZeroTier. Once you install QVPN you do not need to open it or configure it: App Center -> Search "QVPN" -> Install. If you opt not to install QVPN you will need to find a way to re-create the /dev/net/tun on each reboot. Good luck. e24fc04721
