My day started like any other. A frantic scramble to get ready, a quick gulp of coffee and then the familiar ping of the Uber arriving (yes I don’t drive). I was running late for an important meeting, so I practically leaped into the backseat of the charcoal-grey sedan, muttering a hasty greeting to the driver. My phone, a faithful extension of my hand, was clutched firmly as I sent a last-minute email.
The ride was uneventful. I spent most of it scrolling through news headlines and occasionally glancing out at the city. As the car pulled up to my office, I thanked the driver, grabbed my bag, and hurried out, my mind already racing with the day's agenda.
It wasn't until I was through the revolving doors and halfway across the lobby that a cold, sickening dread began to creep in. My hand instinctively went to my pocket, then my other pocket, then my bag. Nothing. A sudden wave of nausea hit me. My phone. It wasn't there.
Panic, cold and sharp, seized me. I retraced my steps, a frantic dance through the lobby, my eyes darting everywhere. Had it fallen out? Was it on the pavement outside? Then I realized ... the Uber. It had to be in the Uber.
I remembered the app had an option to “report lost phone in Uber” but with no way of getting access to a second phone, this was probably out of the question ...
I quickly ran up to the office and turned on my computer to see what I can do. Heck I even asked AI what I can do but the answers were ... well you probably know. If I had to summarize my search history it would contain only stuff like:

I tried every solution possible to grab a hold of my lost phone in an uber cab... Uber support wasn’t really helpful, Find my phone didn’t work since I had my location set to OFF, tried calling my number but no one picked up ... the panic was STRONG! Imagine all the data that I had stored on there which could potentially be accessed by someone in worse case scenario.
I had to do something ... anything to get my phone back.
That is when I stumbled upon Geofinder.
Process was kind of straightforward, enter phone number of lost uber phone in my case, register on the portal (they offered me 1$ trial), send a message to the phone and get the location either aprox or exact in their “MAP view”.
So I did just that and was actually surprised, how accurate the location of the phone was.
How I knew that it was accurate? I actually got in touch just after via a coworkers phone with Uber which helped me get the number of the driver finally ... He gave me his location which I could come and pick up my lost phone in Uber cab after work. And what do you know ... the location program provided was about a mile away and that was with location turned off on my phone.
I guess I got lucky? Or maybe not and its that accurate.
If you situation is similar to mine and you’ve exhausted all the options available to you then I suggest to give this tool a try.
May you be blessed with luck on finding your lost uber phone!
