There are two main functions of fiber in colon area. Firstly, fiber absorbs water and swells, bulks up and softens our feces. Bulky stool circulates faster inside the intestines, reducing the time needed to strain in the toilet. Secondly, fiber increases the weight of feces and directly spreads and dilutes toxins. This will prevent spots of concentrated toxins in certain parts of the colon and damaging our colon's cells.
