Filipino Alamat ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Filipino Alamat mobile application ("App").
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.
Account Information — When you create an account, we collect your name and email address.
Authentication Credentials — We support sign-in via Email/Password, Google, and Apple. We do not store your passwords directly; authentication is handled securely by Firebase Authentication.
Community Content — If you submit stories or posts through the community feed, that content is stored and may be visible to other users.
Reading Activity — We store your reading history, bookmarks, story likes, and achievement progress to personalize your experience.
Device & Usage Data — We collect crash reports and diagnostic data (device type, OS version, app version) through Firebase Crashlytics to help us identify and fix issues.
Analytics — We collect anonymized usage data (screens visited, features used, session length) through Firebase Analytics to improve the App.
Subscription & Purchase Data — In-app purchases and subscription status are managed through RevenueCat and the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). We do not collect or store payment card details. RevenueCat may collect your user ID and purchase history to verify and manage your subscription.

We use the information we collect to:
Create and manage your account
Personalize your reading experience (history, bookmarks, achievements)
Process and verify in-app purchases and subscriptions
Display your community posts and activity
Send important service-related updates (e.g., subscription changes)
Diagnose crashes and improve App stability
Analyze usage patterns to improve features and content
Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following trusted service providers.
We use Firebase Authentication, Firebase Firestore, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics, all provided by Google LLC. Firebase Authentication handles secure account sign-in, Firestore stores your user data and community content, Analytics collects anonymized usage data to help us improve the App, and Crashlytics provides crash reporting and diagnostics.
We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage in-app subscriptions and purchase verification. RevenueCat processes your user ID and purchase history to confirm and maintain your subscription status.
Payments are processed by Apple Inc. through the Apple App Store on iOS devices, and by Google LLC through Google Play on Android devices. We do not have access to your payment card details at any point in this process.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data. We encourage you to review their respective policies.
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure.
Your story library may be cached locally on your device to enable offline reading. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to third parties.
You have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information in your account
Delete your account and associated data — you can do this directly in the App under Profile → Delete Account
Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account
To request a copy of your data or for any privacy-related concerns, contact us at the email address listed in Section 9.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal information and user data are permanently removed from our systems. Anonymized analytics data may be retained in aggregate form.
The Filipino Alamat App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete it. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
