PRIVACY POLICY
File Recovery
Effective Since: July 17, 2026
We take your privacy seriously. This document explains what information we collect when you use the File Recovery application (the "App" or "Service"), how we use and protect it, and what choices you have. This Policy covers all mobile applications published by us on Google Play under the File Recovery brand, including any related services, features, or content (collectively, the "Services").
References to "we," "us," or "our" refer to the File Recovery team and its affiliated entities. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the App immediately.
To deliver a stable experience and diagnose issues, we collect certain details about your device and network connection, including:
IP address, platform type, and timestamp
Application identifier and version, distribution channel
Device identifiers (Android ID, Firebase device ID)
Operating system version, language and region settings, time zone
Network state (Wi-Fi, cellular, VPN), SIM operator and country
Hardware metrics: CPU usage, battery level, screen resolution, memory and storage usage
Advertising-related data: ad loading strategy, ad platform, placement ID
Developer mode and ADB debugging status
The Android ID associated with your device serves as a persistent identifier for advertising-related purposes. We treat this as personal information under applicable law.
The App may access a list of installed applications on your device to help manage notifications. This information stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
We log how you interact with the App to understand performance and improve features. This may include:
Number of sessions, screen views, and feature usage
Click events, navigation paths, time spent on each screen
Permission grant or denial status
App crash logs and error diagnostics
First open timestamp, app brand and model
System language and SIM country
This information is used solely to refine the product experience and optimize advertising performance. It is never sold to third parties.
When you use contact recovery features, the App may read contact entries stored on your device — including names, phone numbers, email addresses, and other fields — to help restore or manage them. All contact processing happens locally on your device. We do not upload, transmit, or store your contact data on our servers.
To support file recovery and media processing, the App may access photos, documents, and other files on your device.
File recovery: Scanning is performed entirely on-device. No file contents leave your device during this process.
Photo enhancement: If you choose to enhance an image, it is temporarily uploaded to our servers over an encrypted connection for processing. The image and any derived data are permanently deleted from our servers immediately after the enhancement completes.
We do not retain, share, or use your photos or files for any purpose beyond providing the requested service.
We access the Android Advertising ID to deliver personalized advertisements and measure campaign performance. This identifier is non-permanent, user-resettable, and not linked to any personally identifiable information or persistent device identifiers.
If you contact us for support, participate in surveys, or send feedback, we collect the information you share — for example, your email address, the content of your message, and any attachments. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry.
We process data necessary to operate the App, fulfill your requests, and deliver the features you use — including file scanning, media enhancement, and contact management.
We have a legitimate interest in analyzing usage patterns to refine the App's performance, fix bugs, develop new features, and personalize your experience. This includes responding to your support requests and sending service-related communications (updates, security alerts, etc.).
With your consent (where required), we and our advertising partners may use information such as your ad identifier, approximate location, language, and in-app behavior to show you relevant ads and measure their effectiveness. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings at any time.
We process data to monitor the App for suspicious activity, prevent cheating or fraud, enforce acceptable use, and protect the security of our infrastructure and users.
We may process your data to comply with applicable legal obligations, such as responding to lawful requests from authorities or maintaining records as required by law.
We do not sell your personal information. However, we may share data with trusted categories of recipients under the following circumstances:
Service Providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the App, process analytics, or serve advertisements. They are bound by contractual data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
Advertising Partners: Ad networks and platforms that display ads within the App. These partners receive device identifiers and interaction data to deliver and measure ads, governed by their own privacy policies.
Legal Obligations: If required by law, court order, or government request, we may disclose information to law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
Business Transitions: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, with notice provided to you.

Performance of a contract: Processing needed to provide the Services you request.
Legitimate interests: Processing for improving our service, ensuring security, fraud prevention, and direct marketing (where not overridden by your rights).
Consent: Processing for purposes such as personalized advertising and certain data sharing, where you have given your affirmative consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Legal obligation: Processing required to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
In some cases, providing your data is necessary to use the full functionality of the App. If you choose not to provide certain data, some features may not be available.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address below. We will verify your identity before processing your request.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, free of charge, and ask us to correct any inaccuracies.
You may request deletion of your data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes collected, when you withdraw consent and no other legal basis applies, or when you object and there are no overriding legitimate grounds.
You may ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances, such as when you contest its accuracy or when processing is unlawful and you oppose erasure.
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing. We will comply unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests.
You may request a structured, machine-readable copy of your data processed by automated means based on consent or contract, and have it transferred to another controller where technically feasible.
If you believe we have violated your privacy rights, please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country of residence.
We will respond to your request within 30 days, or inform you if an extension is needed. We may charge a reasonable fee only if your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

You may request, up to twice in any 12-month period, that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we have shared it.
You may request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., when the data is needed to detect security incidents, fix errors, comply with legal obligations, or conduct internal uses consistent with your expectations).
We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA. However, we may share certain identifiers with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising — you have the right to opt out of such sharing.
Submit a verifiable consumer request via email to help@fengqiyuntu.com. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days (extendable up to 90 days with notice).
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any CCPA right — including denying services, charging different prices, or providing a different quality of service.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information, please contact us.
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice — such as an in-app notification or a pop-up the next time you open the App. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
