If you want a versatile, universal mounting system that adapts to various truck beds and molle panels without being tied to a single vehicle model, choose Figpade 4PCS; if you need a heavy-duty, vehicle-specific solution designed exclusively for the Ram 4500 with superior metal construction, choose ZLXMRUT Shovel Holder.
• Figpade 4PCS: Offers incredible versatility with adjustable clamps for handles between 1-1/7" and 1-3/7", but requires drilling for the most secure hard-surface installation.
• ZLXMRUT Shovel Holder: Features a high-strength metal body built specifically for Ram 4500 models with zero-drill bolt-on installation, though it lacks universal fitment.
• Best For: Choose Figpade if you drive multiple vehicles or need a flexible tool rack for roof racks and general utility.
• Best For: Choose ZLXMRUT if you own a Ram 4500 and prioritize maximum load-bearing capacity and rugged durability for off-road hauling.
The Figpade 4PCS Quick Release Clamp is engineered for the mechanic who needs flexibility above all else. This product isn't just about holding a shovel; it is about creating a secure storage system that can be adapted to almost any environment where tools need to be accessible. The core strength of this unit lies in its adjustability. With five barbed catches allowing for fine-tuning, it accommodates tool handle diameters ranging from 1-1/7" to 1-3/7". This means you aren't limited to a specific type of tool or a specific brand of shovel. Whether you are securing a standard yard shovel, a heavy-duty ice axe, or even a long-handled broom for a workshop, the clamp expands and contracts to find a snug fit.
Durability is another pillar of this design, particularly regarding the material choices. The unit utilizes premium rubber that is specifically formulated to resist brittleness and abrasion over time. In a shop environment where tools might be exposed to oil, grease, or fluctuating temperatures, plastic alternatives often crack or become brittle. The Figpade rubber maintains its grip on uneven surfaces thanks to bar-shaped bumps on the inner rim. These textured ridges provide a non-slip interface that keeps your equipment stable during transport, even when driving over bumpy roads or rough terrain.
However, this versatility comes with a specific trade-off regarding installation. While the clamp supports straps and channels for simpler attachment, achieving the most robust mount on hard surfaces requires drilling. You will need M5 bolts and nuts to secure it properly. If you are looking for a tool that can be slapped onto a surface instantly without any permanent modification, this might not be the first choice. It is also worth noting that while the unit count is listed as one per package, the title suggests a 4PCS configuration, implying you are building a multi-point system. This makes it ideal for those who need to secure multiple tools simultaneously across a wide area, such as a large truck bed or a custom-built workbench.

This product is perfect for the mobile mechanic, the fleet manager, or the DIY enthusiast who drives different trucks or works in varied locations. It is also an excellent choice for anyone who wants to utilize their existing molle panels or roof racks without needing a vehicle-specific bracket. However, if you are strictly working on a Ram 4500 and want a plug-and-play solution that matches the factory lines perfectly, you might find the universal nature of this clamp slightly less integrated than a dedicated mount.
The ZLXMRUT Shovel Holder takes a completely different approach by focusing on precision engineering for a specific platform: the Ram 4500 (2013-2026). If you own this specific heavy-duty truck, this holder is designed to integrate seamlessly into your cargo management system. The standout feature here is the material composition. Unlike purely rubber or plastic alternatives, the main body is constructed from high-strength metal. This gives it exceptional load-bearing capacity and impact resistance, making it capable of withstanding the harsh conditions of off-road environments where rocks, debris, and heavy loads are common. The combination of this metal frame with wear-resistant rubber securing straps ensures that your gear stays put without damaging the finish of your truck or the tools themselves.
Installation is a major selling point for this specific model. The manufacturer has designed it for a quick bolt-on setup that avoids complex drilling or body modifications. This is crucial for owners who want to maintain their vehicle's warranty or simply avoid the hassle of cutting into their truck bed. The hardware is included, meaning you have everything needed to get started immediately. Once installed, the high-tension rubber latching strap and quick-release clamp frame work together to eliminate vibration noise. When navigating rough terrain, loose tools can rattle and cause damage; this mechanism firmly grips handles to prevent sliding or shaking, keeping your workspace quiet and organized.
The trade-off with the ZLXMRUT Shovel Holder is its exclusivity. It is tailored specifically for the Ram 4500 and does not claim compatibility with other makes or models. If you do not own a Ram 4500, this product is useless to you. Furthermore, while the metal body is incredibly strong, the dimensions provided are quite compact (approx. This makes it perfect for securing heavy axes or shovels that might otherwise slide around in a cargo carrier, but it may not offer the same broad adjustability as the Figpade for non-standard handle sizes.
This product is the clear winner for the Ram 4500 owner who spends significant time off-roading or transporting heavy equipment. It is built for the professional contractor who needs a tool rack that can take a beating without failing. It is also ideal for those who value a clean, unobtrusive installation that doesn't require permanent alterations to their vehicle's structure. If you drive a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge, however, you will need to look elsewhere, as the fitment is strictly limited to the Ram 4500 platform.
• Best for Universal Fitment → Figpade 4PCS: Its adjustable range (1-1/7" to 1-3/7") works on almost any tool handle, whereas ZLXMRUT is locked to Ram 4500.

• Best for Adjustable Grip → Figpade 4PCS: Five barbed catches allow precise tuning for different handle diameters, ensuring a custom fit every time.
• Best for Easy Installation → ZLXMRUT Shovel Holder: Bolt-on setup with included hardware avoids drilling, unlike the Figpade which requires M5 bolts and drilling for hard surfaces.
• Best for Multi-Tool Systems → Figpade 4PCS: The modular design allows you to create a rack system across various surfaces like molle panels or roof racks.
• Best for Noise Reduction → ZLXMRUT Shovel Holder: The high-tension strap is explicitly engineered to prevent vibration noise and equipment shaking on rough terrain.
In my opinion, the Figpade 4PCS is the smarter investment for a general mechanic shop or a multi-vehicle household because of its adaptability. You can take these clamps from your personal truck to a rental, or mount them on a roof rack for camping, without worrying about whether they will fit. The ability to adjust the grip on different handle sizes means you never have to buy a new holder if you switch tools. However, if I were a Ram 4500 owner running heavy-duty off-road gear daily, I would choose the ZLXMRUT Shovel Holder. The high-strength metal construction and the lack of drilling required make it feel more like a permanent, factory-quality addition to the truck. Ultimately, the Figpade wins on flexibility, but the ZLXMRUT wins on rugged, vehicle-specific performance. For a mechanic shop dealing with a variety of tools and vehicles, the universal reach of the Figpade is the decisive factor.
Yes, the Figpade 4PCS is universal and fits handle diameters from 1-1/7" to 1-3/7", so it will physically work on a Ram 4500, though it requires drilling for a hard-mount installation.
No, the ZLXMRUT Shovel Holder features a quick bolt-on setup with standard hardware included, designed to avoid complex drilling or body modifications on the Ram 4500.
The ZLXMRUT Shovel Holder is likely better for heavy vibrations due to its high-strength metal body and high-tension rubber latching strap specifically designed to prevent shaking.
