PCOD is a condition in which ovaries produce many immature or partially mature eggs, this happen due to poor lifestyle, obesity, stress and hormonal imbalance.

What is PCOD?

Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) is a common hormonal disorder in women of reproductive age. It affects the ovaries and can lead to various health challenges if not managed properly, PCOD can lead to a range of complications that affect both physical and emotional well-being. Women with unmanaged PCOD may experience persistent hormonal imbalances, leading to severe irregularities in menstrual cycles, difficulty in conceiving, and increased risk of chronic health conditions such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension. Additionally, the physical symptoms, like excessive hair growth, acne, and weight gain, can take a toll on self-esteem and mental health, often resulting in anxiety or depression.

PCOD occurs when the ovaries produce excess androgens (male hormones). This disrupts the regular menstrual cycle and leads to multiple small cysts in the ovaries.
