To Nordiske Feler

To Nordiske Feler is Ruth Johnsen and Jeanne Sawyer, playing traditional dance music from Scandinavia on twin fiddles. They find Scandinavian folk music energizing and fascinating, and love to take audiences on a musical tour of the Nordic countries, especially Sweden and Norway. 

They come to Scandinavian music from completely opposite directions! Jeanne comes from the Scandinavian folk music and dance world. Ruth is a conservatory trained violinist. Both have studied with legends of their respective worlds, and invite you to join them in exploring how their different worlds overlap and blend on the traditional melodies and improvised harmonies of Scandinavian folk music.
