Hello, my name is Jose Fidel Hernandez, Jr. I am a Google Level 1 Certified Teacher and also an Apple Teacher. I currently hold my Masters of Science in Education and a Bachelors in Applied Arts and Sciences in English from Texas A & M International University. I am starting my 26th year in education, 19 of which have been in Technology as a trainer. Prior to that, I was an ELA teacher at Cigarroa High School.

This 2019-2020 school year holds a new challenge for me as this will be my first year as a Digital Learning Specialist at the Secondary Level. I'm ready for this opportunity and I am looking forward to assisting students to be successful learners with the use of technology.

As a Digital Learning Specialist/Technology Trainer, I have always taken a leadership role and worked in many capacities for my campuses and district, thus building relationships that I still hold till this day as my former Administrators and teachers still reach out to me. This I truly hold dear to my heart. As a dedicated employee and representative for Technology, I have always been available to serve the district in any requests made of me. In my previous assignment, I facilitated and took the lead role in implementing the VBrick/Livestreaming Youtube channels, trained during Saturday sessions, created my own curriculum and shared with our Laredo ISD teachers, volunteered for Super Saturdays at the middle school level, participated in campus Technology and Coding Nights, created and worked on Coding and STEAM Summer program curriculum's, and have also created our own Technology Graduation video for the past three years.

Another interesting highlight that I'm extremely proud of is, I was 1 of the first Laredo ISD TCEA presenters from our district, proudly opening doors to many more presentations from Laredo ISD at TCEA.
