Our eyes focus on a little girl

Totally naked

Fleeing something terrifying

In the background

A roaring blast,

Napalm bombing,

She has been burnt

She is shocked, crying

Running away

For saving her life

Why is she naked?

Why is she alone?

The young boy on the left

Maybe a bit older

Seems to be totally

Frightened,

Desperate.

The other children

Apparently resigned,

Are running away from the apocalypse too.

One of them holding his sister's hand

A younger looks back

To the soldiers just behind.

Fire and smoke in the background,

We guess the blast

Just happened a few seconds ago.

The children are totally stunned

By the violence,

The thunder of bombing,

Running away to save their lives...

Something's slapping your face

The injustice, the brutality

The inhumanity of war

Striking these young people.

Napalm,

The most terrifying weapon

Designed to kill multitudes,

Specially produced to burn

Eyes, skin, hair

Targeting native people

For a non lasting conflict

Copiously photographed

Broadcast and filmed

For a global audience,

Global nonsense

Making a global offence

To Humanity!
