WISHES

We wish you a merry Christmas my dear

And above all, a happy new year

Happy birthday to you, please cheer

Happy holidays, in the southern hemisphere

And then in halftime, in the month of May

While New Year’s wishes are forgotten, far away

What do people wish and say?

On Mother’s Day wish you well, here’s a bouquet

Getting up: good morning, going to bed: good night

Coffee too hot, burn my tongue, bread too hard to bite

I’m tired of counting sheep until day shows its light

Have a nice day and more empty phrases we cite

And then you ask yourself have I been happy

So far? Christmas, no presents, was not merry

And the first months were rather crappy

Never again with your good wishes try to trap me
