Thursday 18th Poets Group
In December our topic was WAITING. Once again a rich topic; Anne wrote about a pregnant woman suffering from the summer heat, and about an impatient woman who didn't want to wait any longer for a man she had an appointment with. Georges reminds us of a time when we were all waiting for the postman to bring us a letter. Jacqueline stresses that in every stage of life we are waiting for something. Annette in her poem, WAITING ALONE, facing a dragon but she is afraid of being left alone. For Joseph in his poem waiting in December means the last fading roses, waiting for celebrating Christmas, but also women waiting for their men coming home from war. Georgette in WAITING FOR THE SUN TO RISE states that you should not forget to enjoy every minute while you are waiting. Dietmar in his poem WAITING FOR THE GUESTS TO COME describes how you've got to wait when you cook to get the meal ready. Sylvie M. underlines that some people are waiting their whole life long, but don't really know what they are waiting for, waiting in vain.
The group recommends that you go on our AFGB website to find all their poems and if you are interested, join their monthly meeting.
Our next meeting will be on Thursday 18th of January at 4 pm. (Date to be confirmed) I hope you'll be present in room No.11 at la Mairie du 6e, 37 Rue Bossuet 69006 Lyon
Topic: SLEEP
