Future Forward is a program in which youth help their peers make the most educated decisions when it comes to their choice on marijuana. It's a positive empowerment campaign meant to provide education and updated knowledge on facts and opinions surrounding marijuana use.
Here you will find resources and more quick links on the legal side of marijuana. Places like California and Oregon have legalized marijuana, but what does that mean for you now and for future you?
Have Social Anxiety? Don't want to be the odd person out? Want a way out of peer pressure without sounding "stupid?" This document will give you numerous ways to say "no" that is not blatantly having to say no.
Sometimes using marijuana is a result of something bigger: a way to escape seemingly unmanageable feelings. Some may even not want to use marijuana, but don't know how else to cope with the strong feelings. This link provides alternative ways to cope that you can use instead of substances.

Maybe you just want a super simple pros and cons list of using marijuana, if so, this document is for you.
This document is as easy as it sounds. There are quick facts to educate yourself on the plant itself and usage effects.
In the end, it is your body, therefore your own choice what you do with it. If you feel you have a strong support system, educated yourself on marijuana and its possible effects, and still want to use it, here are tips on how to use it safely:
My personal mission for this campaign is to spread awareness of education over exploitation. This means to advocate for harm reduction services and strategies rather than using unhelpful ads and campaigns meant to feed off the vulnerabilities of the intended audience. When faced with strategies like fear mongering, the viewer or overall audience no longer pays attention because most of the time it's unrelatable and quite honestly cheesy. My biggest wish from producing this campaign was to promote the idea of educating one's self, so that each person is educated on their choices as they move forward. If they choose to make the choice to use marijuana, they have all the safest ways to do so and they know all aspects of using it.
Here are the three simple S's.
Self
Substance
Setting
Self means to be aware of yourself and what kind of mental and physical state you're in before making the choice of whether or not to use marijuana.
Substance is simple; be aware of what you're ingesting. Make sure that if you are to use, know where and who you got it from, and make sure you trust that person or place.
Setting is so important. Check the setting around you or where you're going to go and make sure it's safe to consume marijuana there, and that it's a safe and trusted environment in case something were to happen.
