Latest news!
I will deliver an ICAE seminar (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) about Incentives for Green Technology Adoption and Compliance under Risk Aversion and Technological Uncertainty (co-authored with Carmen Arguedas and José Luis Zofío) on February 4th, 2025. 🎉
As an applied microeconomist interested in law enforcement from a multilevel approach, my research mainly focuses on firms’ behavior under environmental regulations, law enforcement principles, and preferences on law enforcement. In my research, I apply economic and behavioral analysis to enforcement and environmental issues.
I work on conceptual and computational analysis of firms' compliance and investment behavior under risk aversion and technological uncertainty. My work also covers the economic analysis of the main elements of criminal law using Cumulative Prospect Theory. Lastly, I empirically seek to establish sentencing guidelines rooted in society’s perception of proportionality, as most institutions across the world’s democracies are currently being challenged by a growing number of discontents, and as the increasing use of AI/algorithms in the courtroom calls for a systematic but well-grounded approach to sentencing.
