Il progetto KA 229 “PostFactEUal” – Transforming Europe from the 30s to the Present”, iniziato nel 2018 e appena concluso, è partito dal presupposto che l'Europa ha visto di recente un aumento del populismo, una crescita del nazionalismo e un'ondata di false notizie e campagne propagandistiche che vanno contro i valori fondamentali europei di democrazia, solidarietà, liberalismo e discorso politico illuminato, e dal fatto che gli anni '30 mostrarono alcune sorprendenti somiglianze in termini di manipolazione di massa, populista retorica e patriottismo fuorviato. Questo progetto transnazionale ha mirato quindi ad aiutare i giovani a diventare pensatori critici nella ricerca di conoscenza e identità culturale e nazionale, in modo che essi possano costruire un'Europa fondata su reciprocità, rispetto, comprensione, tolleranza e libertà di pensiero. Il progetto ha offerto l’opportunità di apprendimento interdisciplinare basata su compiti concreti che promuovano la consapevolezza politica e lo sviluppo di una gamma di competenze necessarie ad affrontare criticamente alcune questioni chiave riguardanti il potere della memoria, il potere dei dati, il potere della letteratura, il potere della propaganda, il potere dei media digitali. Questi cinque macrotemi sono stati affrontati in ognuna delle mobilità attraverso le quali si è sviluppato il progetto e che hanno visto coinvolti, oltre al Liceo Enrico Fermi, La Goetheschule di Essen (Germania), l’Ikast-Brande Gymnasium di Ikast (Danimarca), la Rotterdam International Secondary School (Paesi Bassi) e la Heritage Private School di Limassol (Cipro).
Il progetto aveva una durata prevista di 24 mesi, poi prolungata a causa della situazione legata alla pandemia di COVID-19. I primi quattro moduli hanno visto la partecipazione di venti alunni del nostro istituto, che si sono recati presso le scuole coinvolte nel progetto (in Germania, Olanda, Danimarca, Cipro), per svolgere laboratori su argomenti afferenti al tema principale. L'ultimo modulo è stato svolto come workshop per i docenti, suddiviso in una prima parte online (maggio 2021) e una seconda parte in presenza presso la sede del Liceo Fermi (agosto 2021) .
The KA 229 project "PostFactEUal" - Transforming Europe from the 30s to the Present ", started in 2018 and just ended, started from the assumption that Europe has recently seen an increase in populism, a growth in nationalism and a wave of false news and propaganda campaigns that go against the core European values of democracy, solidarity, liberalism and enlightened political discourse, and from the fact that the 1930s showed some striking similarities in terms of mass manipulation, populist rhetoric and misguided patriotism. This transnational project therefore aimed to help young people to become critical thinkers in the search for cultural and national knowledge and identity, so that they can build a Europe based on reciprocity, respect, understanding, tolerance and freedom of thought. The project offered the opportunity for interdisciplinary learning based on concrete tasks that foster political awareness and the development of a range of skills, necessary to critically address some key issues concerning the power of memory, the power of data, the power of literature, the power of propaganda, the power of digital media. These five macro-themes were dealt with in the mobilities through which the project was developed and which involved, in addition to the Enrico Fermi Lyceum, the Goetheschule of Essen (Germany), the Ikast-Brande Gymnasium of Ikast (Denmark) , the Rotterdam International Secondary School (Netherlands) and the Heritage Private School of Limassol (Cyprus).
The project had an expected duration of 24 months, then extended due to the situation linked to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first four modules saw the participation of twenty pupils from our institute, who went to the schools involved in the project (in Germany, Holland, Denmark, Cyprus), to carry out workshops on topics related to the main theme. The last module was carried out as a workshop for teachers, divided into a first part online (May 2021) and a second part in presence at the Liceo Fermi (August 2021).
