Description from creator: This build focuses on dealing damage with specials mostly upon counter attacks since the build is enemy phase oriented but thanks to Arcane Eclipse it can also function in the player phase, turning him into a very powerful and versatile unit.

Description from creator: Rest in peace, B!Tiki. May your sacrifice never be forgotten. This build focuses on omnitanking, Lyon being a mage with rarely-seen workable Def at high investment.
- Arcane Eclipse is almost a direct upgrade to Naglfar: lower HP threshold, more stats, slaying, follow-ups being dual phase...in 99% of scenarios, there is no reason to use Naglfar over AE. The 1% is against colourless threats such as F!Edelgard, for whom Naglfar, with its raventome effect, allows for a much better matchup on enemy phase (if given a Close Counter variant for melee foes) as less damage will be taken. (Without any blessings: Lyon only wins against Edie's Galeforce set (both at max investment) with Naglfar, and loses to the Bonfire set regardless. This Lyon is used on Light Season in AR, so with the inflated HP from blessings, Naglfar set can win against both the Bonfire and Galeforce sets on enemy phase, while AE loses to both. Even switching to +Def refine doesn't help.)
- HC+ is mostly for Arena scoring. It came with the A skill, so why not?
- Aether is mostly for scoring as well. If you have it (because I don't, sorry) Ruptured Sky is a good alternative on the AE set to make up for the aforementioned 1% matchup, being precharged on Turn 1 and fully recharged after combat due to SS4.
- Close Reversal helps Lyon on enemy phase against physical units, further boosting his more shaky Def. If you want to focus on the ranged matchup instead, other good options include Atk/Res Finish and Def/Res Unity.
- Special Spiral 4 came with the tome, and gives the nice little bonus of bypassing non-special damage reduction on a special proc, which is huge given how many modern units have some form of it. Other options include Lull Atk/Res to negate foes' bonuses.
- Def/Res Menace helps Lyon become even bulkier, while debuffing foes. In total, without factoring in the seal slot, he should effectively get +16 to Def and +11 to Res with this kit.
- I used BD3 to further beef up his defenses, but other good options would be Mystic Boost for self-sustain, Forms for stat boosts and now Guard to prevent foe's specials.
Pros: Lyon is very easily available to merge, having a permanent rerun and being available via grails. This build is mostly self-reliant and can function regardless of the positioning of other allies.
Cons: Sacrifices his matchup against mages. Still takes a lot of damage from the most offensive units such as B!Seliph and L!Veronica. Null Follow-Up is ruinous, as is Panic.
Usage tips:
- Switch between Naglfar and AE as necessary. Just because AE is better against almost everything, doesn't mean Naglfar doesn't have its use.
- Ruse support is definitely appreciated in the absence of Guard.
- If you're building this from scratch and happen to have a spare B!Tiki lying around, here's how I would recommend the SI flow: Threaten Def/Res from Aelfric + Special Spiral from some other source (e.g. Lewyn, N!M!Corrin, Keaton etc) --> Atk/Res Finish 3 + Def/Res Menace from B!Tiki --> AE, Finish 4, SS4 (and Time's Pulse 1) from Ophelia.
