The USS Iowa, NCC-1773, is the first of the Spirit-MK-2, Flight II type destroyers of the UFP Starfleet, and the 11th Spirit of St. Louis MK-2 built for the UFP.

Design

    The Bow Decoration of the USS Iowa saw a return to the idea of elaborate decoration of the ships' bows in the UFP. It it completely emblazoned with a modified version of the Iowan Flag. On the sides of the ship are stripes of Blue and Red, respectively. In the center is the Eagle, taken directly from the Flag of Iowa, but the scroll instead reads "USS Iowa" in contrast to the State Motto on the Flag.

      Above this is the ship's hull number, NCC-1773, and on the Tail Fin is the Flag of Iowa represented in a smaller form.
