Dauntless

          Dauntless, known sometimes by it's former name of the Midnight Republic, was a small sovereign state within the Sun Prairie Nations, situated near the Federation and Despan borders. History

        Formed originally as the Midnight Republic in Early September of 2018, and gaining territory surrounding Eastside School and the southern suburbia around it. After forming an Alliance with the self-declared Republic of Despa, the nation went to war with the Federation. It suffered a major tactical defeat at the Battle of Eastside, the decisive battle of the War, and as a result the territory of Eastside was occupied and annexed by the Federation, which created widespread outrage throughout Dauntless. 

       Soon after the war ended, the nation became a part of the newly created Midnight Republic of Despa, or the MRD. This Coalition soon gained 7 members, and went to war again with the Federation. The MRD was soon torn apart from internal stryfe, and the nation of Dauntless arose from the former land of the Midnight Republic. Meanwhile, it's old ally, the Republic of Despa, was also reforming, and the two re-affirmed their alliance, while also solidifying their new alliance with the Republic of Crimson Dusk, and eventually the Federation. 

       During the SPATO March 2019 Conference on Borders and Territory, the Federation and Dauntless, after nearly 7 months, resolved the Eastside Situation, with a partition of the hills and surrounding area. Shortly after the formation of the Prairie Union, Dauntless willingly ceded itself to the United Federation.

Military

       Despite the military power of the MRD, Dauntless had one of the smaller militaries in the Sun Prairie Nations, and SPATO as well. It's Navy consisted of several small patrol boats, and a light aircraft-carrying cruiser. The Air Force of Dauntless consisted of 27 active aircraft, most of them being surplus Lexington-class ships from the Federation.
