Hello! I’m Federica. Since October 1st, 2025, I have been a Research Associate (Postdoctoral Fellow) at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, working on the project “The geometry of the isomorphism problem for Artin groups”, led by Alexandre Martin. I am part of the Algebra, Geometry and Topology group at Heriot-Watt University.

I defended my PhD thesis on July 9th, 2025, entitled “Topological and algebraic aspects of virtual Artin groups”, at Université Bourgogne Europe (Dijon), under the supervision of Luis Paris.

My research focuses primarily on Artin groups, Coxeter groups, virtual Artin groups, braids, and some of their generalizations. I study these objects from a geometric, topological, and combinatorial perspective.
