Hello! I am an Assistant Professor of Human Geography in the Department of Sociology, Social Work and Anthropology at Christopher Newport University (CNU). I am interested in solidarity relations; alternative and informal economies; food access and food justice; feminist political economy; motherhood; and ethics of care in academia and beyond. I have conducted research in Belgium, Cuba, Spain, Gibraltar and the USA. At CNU, I developed the GIS and cartography curriculum and co-created the Geography minor.

I received my PhD in Geography from the University of Leuven (Belgium) in 2018, a MSc in Geography from the University of Leuven (Belgium) in 2012, a MSc in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Birmingham (UK) also in 2012, and a BSc in Geography from the University of Leuven (Belgium) in 2010.
