Questions about AI are snowballing every day since the launch of Chat GPT. The reality, though, is not without answers to the questions raised. Philosophers, technologists, and lawyers constantly explore the topic of transhumanism, and they are ready to share their insights with the public. Dr. Giulio Mecacci


Philosopher and ethicist of mind and technology. Assistant professor in the department of AI at Radboud University. Coordinator of the AI master's programme. He conducts research for the Donders Institute and for TUDelft. Has been invited as a speaker to conferences in the United States, Japan and France.

Prof. Pietro Ortolani


AI legal expert. Professor in Digital Conflict Resolution at Radboud University. Previously researching at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg, the University of Pisa and Queen Mary, University of London. He acted as an expert for the European Parliament and the European Commission. His articles were published in the Oxford Journal of Legal Studies, the Journal of International Dispute Settlement and the Leiden Journal of International Law. Awarded the prestigious James Crawford Prize.

Dr. Sander Keemink


Brain and AI researcher. Assistant professor in the department of AI at Radboud University. They previously worked at the University of Edinburgh and the Champalimaud Centre in Lisbon. Their research aims to unravel how networks of biological or artificial brain cells function together.

Ph.D. Chandrima Chattopadhyay

Chandrima Chattopadhyay is a joint Ph.D. Candidate at Interdisciplinary Hub for digitalization and society and Behavioral Science Institute. Her research focuses on AI and Technology Selection and Usage in Schools. As young child rights advocate with a background in philosophy and law she has worked in research and legal policy and advocacy for renowned child rights organizations in India and Bangladesh. She has also authored a children’s book on Indian philosophy that aims to promote critical thinking and reflection in children. Through her PhD she aims to delve deeper into societal values and norms like privacy, independence, transparency and autonomy that might be getting undermined through the process of technology selection by various stakeholders but primarily the schools, the teachers and the student.  With her research, she hopes to provide scientific insight into responsible technology selection and provide concrete recommendations to schools to employ policies that uphold the identified values and norms.

Dorien Wellen

Dorien Wellen has a passion for innovation. As a Strategic Relations manager, she brings together students, scientists, end users, companies, governments and investors to work together in projects on solutions to social problems. She set up Knowledge and Technology Transfer departments at Radboudumc and Radboud University and led them for 15 years. 

Since 2003 she has been working as an expert and evaluator for the European Commission.

She organizes innovation sessions, advises companies and founded the ethical responsible innovation student collective (ERISC) with her AI students.Dorien is a member of SER Topvrouwen and advisor to the Hidden Girls foundation.
