OBJECTIVE
The objective of the FUN CHALLENGE with ZOOM:BIT is to inspire students to be able to complete all the challenges under the pressure of limited time quickly and correctly by using Microsoft MakeCode Editor.
REGISTRATION
This competition is open to all Malaysian and non-Malaysian.
Primary: students 8-12 years old (in season 2022: born years 2010-2014)
Secondary: students 13-18 years old (in season 2022: born years 2004-2009)
INDIVIDUAL and FREE Registration Fee.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT & COMPONENTS
The following tools and equipment are compulsory and must be prepared by the participant during FCL.
ZOOM:BIT complete set
2. Computer/ Laptop, equipped with
Stable internet connection
Webcam, mic, and speaker (or headset)
Capable of connecting and downloading the program into ZOOM:BIT
Compatible with Google Account (GMail, G.Meet, G.Calendar, G.Form, etc) and Microsoft Makecode for micro:bit
ROBOT SPECIFICATIONS
Only One (1) robot per participant.
Robot must be exactly the original set with no adding extra electronics or any parts.
Robot must be autonomous. The use of any remote control is not allowed.
SCOPE

GAMEPLAY
The competition consists Preliminary round and Final round. The robot will have 2 minutes to complete the challenge.
Preliminary Round
MISSION:
ZOOM:BIT placed as the picture above before start. The ultrasonic sensor must face to 0 degrees. The robot turns right to 270 degrees , then detect the black line and start to follow the track in for 2 laps.
After completing 2 laps, zoom:bit must stop and play the melody “entertainer”. ZOOM:BIT will start to follow the track at speed 35 and STOP moving when an obstacle is detected 5cm in front of ZOOM:BIT. RGB LEDs light up in RED.
Surprise Mission - An additional surprise mission will be announced in the google meet.
Final Round
***Actual missions will only be revealed on the day of the event.
The participant is required to record a video of the robot completing the challenge.
The following are the requirements for the video file:
The video should be shot in good lighting condition, with proper visibility, without blurring, shaking, or obstructions.
The minimum resolution of the video must be 720X1280 pixels and shot in 16:9 format and the video file format must be mp4.
No editing of the video is allowed. the video should be made in one sequence only.
Any video that looks incomplete, fudged, edited, or tempered-with shall be disqualified.
Only one video submission will be accepted per participant. In case a participant uploads more than one video, the earliest uploaded video will be considered as final for scoring and judging purposes.
Your attempt and time will end if:
a. Challenge time (2 minutes) has ended.
b. Participant touches the robot during the run.
c. The robot has completely left the game track.
d. Violation of the rules and regulations within.
e. The mission is completed.
The ranking is decided by the best score of a round. If competing participants acquire the same points, the ranking will be determined by the time recorded.
Others
The judges have final authority during the tournament.
Judges have the authority to inspect the robots before the final game or at any time during/after the games are completed.
For any other behavior not specified in the rules, judges are given full authority to make the decision and the decision is final in the event of a dispute.
Any amendments and updates to these rules and regulations will be announced by the organizer and be updated at the official telegram group – FCL2022
