Fulton County Agriculture Education

We are very excited to be kicking off the 2018-19 school year! We are looking forward to a fantastic voyage!

What is Agriculture Education?

Agriculture education is based off of the three step model including Instruction, FFA, and SAE.

The first step, instruction, takes place in the classroom or laboratory setting. Students can enroll in classes pertaining to anything fro animal science to plant science, or agriculture mechanics to greenhouse technologies.

The second step, FFA, is the ability for students to to be involved in the National FFA Organization. Within this organization students will have the ability to apply the skills they are learning during instruction by competing against other members, strengthening leadership skills, and networking with students from different backgrounds.

The third step, SAE or Supervised Agricultural Experience, provides the chance for the student to apply the skills they are learning in the classroom as they prepare to transition into the world of college and career opportunities. SAE's may include starting their own businesses, tending to livestock, monitoring crop cycles, and other endless possibilities.
