This study aimed to develop and evaluate the effects of a sexual abuse prevention mobile application, SAP_MobAPP, for primary school children. Forty-five subjects were trained for 40 minutes once a week. The experimental group received education that utilized the SAP_MobAPP. Control group A received Web based sexual abuse prevention education, while control group B received textbook based sexual abuse prevention education. Effectiveness was verified through a survey on child sexual abuse recognition and avoidance skills administered before and after training. The SAP_MobAPP program improved recognition (awareness) and the child's skills to avoid child sexual abuse situations, and the effects were long-lasting. However, differences between groups were not statistically significant. This study developed a sexual abuse prevention application and verified its effectiveness. Awareness and skills to avoid child sexual abuse after app education increased immediately after training and four weeks later. The SAP_MobAPP could be used for sexual abuse prevention education in schools.

This same report goes on to extensively describe both a different class of rail-mobile missile launcher (8-axle) than the one observed (4-axle) during the September 15 test launch, and a rail-mobile missile launcher potentially capable of transporting and launching intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM):

I did not directly observe the freight/cargo vehicle with the missile launch platform installed, but I know it is a 14-axle vehicle that is more robust than the existing 8-axle. ...it is known that the long-range missile and launch platform to be mounted on the freight vehicle weighs over 100 tons. ...The weight of the mobile missile launcher is a problem."

South Korea continues its global 5G leadership position with extremely fast 5G speeds and high levels of 5G uptake. At the end of April, there were 30.02 million 5G smartphone users in the market, representing 38.1% of total mobile subscriptions according to the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT). This is an increase from 20.9 million and 11.8 million at the end of 2021 and 2020, respectively.

Innovation isn't just limited to 5G in South Korea. While 5G will continue to improve and be the dominant mainstream mobile network technology for the rest of the decade, South Korean vendors, operators and government are already looking ahead to 5G's successor. The new K-Plan targets a 6G launch as early as 2028.

All three operators rate as Very Good (68-78) for Video Experience. This means users are on average able to stream mobile video at 1080p or better resolution with satisfactory loading times and little stalling.

Games Experience quantifies the experience when playing real-time multiplayer mobile games on mobile devices connected to servers located around the world. The approach is built on several years of research quantifying the relationship between technical network parameters and the gaming experience as reported by real mobile users. These parameters include latency (round trip time), jitter (variability of latency) and packet loss (the proportion of data packets that never reach their destination). Additionally, it considers multiple genres of multiplayer mobile games to measure the average sensitivity to network conditions. The games tested include some of the most popular real-time multiplayer mobile games (such as Fortnite, Pro Evolution Soccer and Arena of Valor) played around the world.

Upload Speed Experience measures the average upload speeds for each operator observed by our users across their mobile data networks. Typically upload speeds are slower than download speeds, as current mobile broadband technologies focus resources on providing the best possible download speed for users consuming content on their devices. As mobile internet trends move away from downloading content to creating content and supporting real-time communications services, upload speeds are becoming more vital and new technologies are emerging that boost upstream capacity.

The coverage maps show the locations where we received measurements from users connecting with 3G or better mobile service. Each map provides an indication of the areas in which it is possible to obtain mobile service from that mobile operator.

South Korea uses an open dialing plan with a total length (including 0) of 9 to 11 digits and, within city, subscriber numbers 7 to 8 digits long. Dialing from mobile phones to any type of phone except 010 numbers, the area code must be included.

The Near Field Communication (NFC) mobile payment is the integration of NFC enabled smartphones and credit/debit/prepaid cards. Korea is a pioneer in rolling out the NFC mobile payment. Global mobile industries pay attention to whether Korean mobile users accept the new payment service. This study investigates the factors for technology acceptance using an integrated model of technology readiness and technology acceptance. Structured equation modeling is used to analyze the collected data. The four constructs of technology readiness (innovativeness, optimism, discomfort, and insecurity) have significant impact on the perceived ease of use and the two technological characteristics of NFC mobile payment (responsiveness and smartness) also have significant impacts on the perceived usefulness. However, only the perceived usefulness affects significantly on the intention to use. The perceived ease of use affects indirectly on the intention to use through the perceived usefulness. The result of this study suggests that to be a successful payment service, the NFC mobile payment service has to be much more focused on the usefulness against other alternative payment methods.

Two decades ago this month, North Koreans in Pyongyang and Rason were the first in the nation to get a taste of cellular telephony. In a country where landline phones were still the exception rather than the rule, mobile communications had the potential to revolutionize the way people communicate.

Penetration of landlines in North Korea was and remains low. According to the International Telecommunication Union, there are just 1.2 million households with landlines in North Korea, so for many North Koreans, mobile phones might have been their first taste of basic telephony.

In interviews conducted this year by the authors, recent North Korean escapees have stated the Koryolink service is now mainly used in Pyongyang, and Kang Song is used by people in other regions. They also say large numbers of people have smartphones. Many estimated most homes own at least one mobile phone, with total penetration between 50 and 80 percent of the country.

These figures are backed up by a survey published last month by Unification Media Group that surveyed 50 current North Korean residents and found 46 of them had used North Korean mobile phones, and 41 of them, or 82 percent, reported owning a mobile phone. More than 90 percent of people reported using the phone at least daily, and most calls were to family members and traders. Because of the low incidence of landlines, cellular appears to have filled a significant need for basic telephony.

North Korea continues to roll out mobile telecommunications technology to its people but keeps close control over what the people can do with it. The country has a lot to gain from deploying this technology, especially in a nation where at least some telephone calls are still patched through by hand.

In this study, we aimed to develop a risk score for COVID-19 cases imported into South Korea using global COVID-19 data, Korea Telecom (KT) roaming data, and the OxCGRT index. We used this risk score to further validate the prediction models for daily imported cases in South Korea. Our hypothesis was that the risks from imported cases are positively related to COVID-19 surveillance worldwide and the number of mobile roaming users and negatively associated with the index for International Travel Controls in OxCGRT. Information regarding such risks from imported COVID-19 cases may help roaming users from spreading infection through travel.

Mobile roaming data were supported by KT, the second-largest telecommunications service provider holding 31.6% of the market share among mobile phone service providers in South Korea in 2019 [13]. KT collaborated with the Ministry of Science and ICT and provided mobile data to research institutes to develop a prediction model on the spread of COVID-19 [14]. The research on predicting the spread of COVID-19 was conducted under the strict security management of the Data Safe Zone operated by the Ministry of Science and ICT, South Korea [15]. The Data Safe Zone is a space created within the Korea Data Agency and provides a safe and secure environment to research and analyze data of sensitive public institutions and private companies [16]. KT roaming data can only be accessed from the Data Safe Zone in Seoul, South Korea, with the approval of the Korea Data Agency. KT roaming data provide the number of daily roaming users per variable, which are fully anonymized before researchers can access them, and hence, researchers cannot access personal identifying information. For this study using KT roaming data, the author visited the Data Safe Zone four times on 05-23-2020, 06-07-2020, 06-12-2020, and 07-26-2020. The roaming data included the daily number of roaming users, hometown of users, start day of roaming service, return date, and country of travel origin. The KT roaming data from January 22, 2020 to April 30, 2020 were used at first and later updated with data up to June 30, 2020. 2351a5e196
