We have created a google document, where we´d like you to put in information about your team. We will use the information to display additional information in the live broadcast aswell as to create the spotterguide.
For this years running of the event we have created custom decal layers for the event. The decal layer includes custom a windshield banner, custom numberplates, car class labels and some other stickers.
We are collecting all car paints and will create a paint pack that can be downloaded before the event.
Download the decal layer for your car via the buttons on the right hand side. The downloaded file should be a .zip archive, which contains a .png file.
Open your car paint file and place the mentioned "[carname].png" file into your paint project file (in Photoshop: "File" -> "Place Embedded").
Make sure you do not move the decal layer when placing into the paintscheme.
This year´s event does not require a manual adjustment of the car number.
Changing the location of stickers and numberplates:
All stickers (not including numberplates) may be slightly adjusted in position to better fit into the paint. When adjusting sticker be carefule, not to move the whole decal layer. The size of stickers may NOT be changed.
When changing the position of a sticker, it has to remain fully visible and may not leave the part of the car it was on by default.
All numberplates plotted onto the car may not be changed in any way.
If your paint uses a specmap, remember to include the stickers in your specmap. I wont´t go in to much detail here, since you should know how to edit the specmap.
Test your paint! - We kindly ask you to take your paiont out for a test paint before uploading it, to save us some work.
When testing the paint, pay attention to the following criteria:
Numberplates are visible
The Car number is fully plotted onto the numberplate.
The windscreen banner is visible.
The rear wing endplates have our stickers on it.
Front, rear, left and right stickers are visible.
Save your Paint files. Make sure to save the main paint as a .tga file and use the generated .mip specmap file from your paints folder, when uploading your paint.
For further questions write a message in your discord team channel and tag @Race Control in it.

Check the positioning of the decals for the individual cars:
Now that you have finished the car paint you have to upload it, so it will be included in the paint pack and visible in the broadcast. Make sure that you have applied the decal from 3.2.1 before uploading your paint!
The deadline for car paint submissions is November 30th 23:59 GMT. All paint files, that are uploaded after that might not be included in the paint pack.
Open the Google Form that we have created, follow the instructions to upload your paint file(s).
All of the submitted paints will be collected in our Winter 24h of the Nürburgring Paint Pack. The paint pack is a .zip file and contains 8 folders, one for each participating car.
To install the Paint Pack simply unzip the folders into your iRacing paint directory (default: ThisPC/Documents/iRacing/paints) and overwrite existing files.
Make sure not to run tradingpaints or otherwise some files might get overwritten. To be safe simply drop the files in the paints folder just before joining the race session.
To download the paint pack use the button on the right hand side.
More steps to follow soon. We´ll keep everyone posted through our Discord notifications.
