The most convenient method for sharing and/or adding third-party sounds is through the use of .omnisphere files (see Sharing), which contain all Patches and Soundsources being shared, as well as additional organization and information by the developer.
I have the Omnisphere 2 full setup, but I don't have the huge library (55gb), when I load it in Fl studio it does open but no patches are available. My question is, will it work if I purchase Omnisphere banks and install them instead of using factory presets/default library?

I have just bought a new mac book pro and am in the middle of transferring all my library softwares etc over. I have succesfully installed Logic 9 and VSL but I am not sure how to get Logic to find my STEAM folder and Omnisphere library which lives on an external hard drive. I can't find an omnisphere software download...

This library contains over 7500 factory presets for Omnisphere 2 that can be loaded and browsed directly using the Komplete Kontrol / Maschine software and hardware. All presets have been saved as NKS files which contains the Omnisphere preset information, tagging information and mapped controls. Sound previews are now also available for your library so you can hear what a preset sounds like before loading the instrument. Additionally, a Komplete Kontrol database file and plug-in artwork is also included to create entries in your User Library.
With the release of Omnisphere 2.5/2.6 a new library called the "Hardware Library" was included. This library contains an additional 1000+ presets (Omnisphere 2.5) and 600 presets (Omnisphere 2.6). THis is considered an "Expansion Library" which adds additional presets for Omnisphere so you still require the above core Factory library also.

One of the real key features here is the fact that so many new sound sources are added to Omnisphere with the library. There is not a standard reliance on existing stock sound which is another huge plus.
It will work with ANY VST out of the box.... in regards to it will load and have the ability to control them if you spend time to make the mappings. If you want to browse presets and have things "auto mapped" then the VST developer has to make their plugins NKS compatible, or you can spend time doing it yourself or you can get a library such as that linked one whihc has all that done for you if you wanted it done for you. There is no "need" for it but usually people decide it is well worth it after figuring out how much time it saves, the whole benefit of this specific keyboard.

Just to add a little more clarity on my disk distribution. I have my Omnisphere library on a 500gb M.2 evo, which gives pretty fast load times. Kontakt libraries are sat between two 1tb Crucial MX500 drives. The one-shots and loops are sat on a 500gb Samsung 840evo, which is slower than the MX500 but not that you would notice.
To anyone who still have a problem, just follow the video guideline, step by step. You should be able to successfully install omnisphere 2.0. Don't forget to patch as shown in the video before you generate the registration code.
Once you pasted the registration code in and activate, it might crash omnisphere or the DAW. But keep trying. For me, it did crash. But when I reopen my DAW, I can use omnisphere just fine. The Omnisphere, however, will show the version of 2.0
I recommend putting your downloaded crack in drive :D or any other drive; then install everything as default (drive :C), as well as the STEAM folder. It will make the updater more convenient. Also, if you think you messed up, you can search omnisphere in "This PC" and delete everything with omnisphere name in :C drive. Easy clean up.
In order to get the 2.8.5d version, Go to the 2.8.5d updater, click update it should direct by default like your previous installation (omnisphere 2.0). Try to remember the location of the file during the installation. After the update, Omnisphere will ask for registration code again, no worry. Next to the 2.85d updater there should be a file called Moria. That's the cracked vst version. Copy the Moria .dll file and replace it with where the file you updated recently may be. Dll file should stay in vst folder, vst3 should stay in vst folder. Replace that and your omnisphere updated to 2.8.5d with all functioning sound.
