Hector's Dolphins are the smallest dolphins in the world, weighing much less than the average human. But despite being small, many Hector's Dolphins get caught in fishing nets every year, along with the parasitic toxoplasma also being a threat. Toxoplasma may sound life-threatening, but your cat probably hosts it. Tourism such as swimming with Hector's Dolphins is a minor threat, but nowhere as big as the other two. And let's just say that the males are kind of like the Stitchbird or Hihi... The critically endangered Maui's Dolphin with less than 50 individuals is actually a subspecies of the Hector's Dolphin.
