Welcome to my web page! My name is Fatih Say. I am currently an Associate Professor in the School of Mathematical Science at Bursa Technical University (BTU).

Before joining BTU, I was an Associate Professor at the  Ordu University. I pursued my PhD in the School of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Nottingham (UoN), Nottingham, England. I worked under the supervision of Prof. John R King and Prof. Paul Matthews, studying Exponential asymptotics: multi-level asymptotics of model problems, and received my doctorate from UoN.

Prior to moving to England for my PhD studies, I was a graduate student at the Mathematical Sciences of the University of Delaware, USA, where I received my master's degree. These diverse academic experiences have profoundly enriched my understanding and passion for mathematical research.

Research summary

I am interested in employing asymptotic methods to find solutions of differential (including FDEs) and difference equations emerging within applied and industrial mathematics; particularly, investigating their behaviour near and away from the singularities. My primary area of expertise concerns the study of problems using the techniques of exponential asymptotics or asymptotics beyond-all-orders to explain behaviour that cannot be interpreted via traditional asymptotic methods in perturbation theory. I remain committed to advancing my knowledge and skills in this area. I am also interested in developing new mathematical models and tools to solve complex problems in various fields.

My research interests mainly fall in the areas of:

Asymptotic analysis
