Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 1, 2026
Welcome to FastPDF Reader (the "App," "we," "our," or "us").
FastPDF Reader is a PDF utility application that enables users to open and read PDF documents, add annotations and markup, scan paper documents using the device camera, and create or manage PDF files.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use the App, how that information may be used and shared, and the choices available to you. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the App.
1. Information We May Process
Depending on the features you use, your device settings, and the services available in your region, the App and its third-party service providers may process the following categories of information.
1.1 PDF Documents, Scanned Images, and Annotations
When you choose to open, import, scan, create, edit, annotate, save, share, or export a document, the App may access and process:
• PDF documents and other files that you select;
• Images captured or selected for document scanning;
• Annotations, highlights, drawings, signatures, comments, bookmarks, and other edits you create;
• Basic file information, such as file name, type, size, location, and modification date.
This content is processed to provide the document-reading, scanning, annotation, editing, organization, export, and sharing features requested by you. Document content and annotations are generally processed and stored locally on your device unless you intentionally use a feature that transfers or shares a file through another service or application.
We do not sell the contents of your documents, scanned images, or annotations, and we do not use their contents for advertising personalization or user profiling.
The App does not access files that you have not selected or otherwise authorized the App to access, except where broader file access is expressly permitted by you and reasonably necessary to provide a file-management feature.
1.2 Camera Permission
FastPDF Reader may request access to your device camera so that you can scan paper documents and convert captured pages into PDF files.
Camera access is activated only when you intentionally use a scanning or camera-related feature. Images captured through the scanner may be cropped, enhanced, rotated, combined, and converted into a PDF on your device.
The App does not activate the camera in the background or capture photos or videos without your action. You may deny or revoke camera permission through your device settings, but document-scanning features may then be unavailable.
1.3 Photos, Media, Files, and Storage Access
The App may request permission to access photos, media, files, or device storage in order to:
• Open PDF documents selected by you;
• Import images for document scanning or PDF creation;
• Save, rename, move, organize, export, or share PDF files;
• Preserve annotations, bookmarks, recent-file information, and user preferences.
Where supported by the operating system, FastPDF Reader uses the system file or photo picker so that you can select specific files or images. Access is limited to the content and locations you authorize, subject to the permissions granted through your device settings.
1.4 Device Information and Advertising Identifiers
For advertising, analytics, attribution, fraud prevention, diagnostics, security, and service optimization, the App and its third-party service providers may process technical information and identifiers such as:
• Google Advertising ID (GAID) or a similar advertising identifier;
• Android Device ID or other device-provided identifiers, where permitted;
• Firebase Installation ID or application instance identifiers;
• Device manufacturer and model;
• Operating system and App version;
• Language, time zone, screen size, and device configuration;
• Network type, carrier information, and IP address;
• Advertising interaction, attribution, and campaign-performance data.
You may be able to reset or limit the use of your advertising identifier through your device settings. Availability of these controls depends on your device and operating system.
1.5 Approximate Location Information
The App and certain third-party service providers may derive a general or approximate location from information such as your IP address, network connection, device language, time zone, or regional settings.
Approximate location may be used to deliver regionally relevant advertisements, measure advertising performance, prevent fraud, perform analytics, improve services, and comply with legal or platform requirements.
FastPDF Reader does not continuously collect precise GPS location information unless a feature requiring precise location is separately disclosed to you and you provide the required permission.
1.6 Usage, Analytics, Crash, and Diagnostic Data
To understand App performance, maintain stability, and improve the user experience, the App and its service providers may process:
• App feature interactions and usage events;
• Session duration and screen-view information;
• Crash logs, error reports, and performance metrics;
• Network status and technical diagnostic information;
• Installation source and advertising attribution information.
Analytics and diagnostic data is not intended to include the contents of your PDF documents, scanned images, annotations, or signatures.
2. How We Use Information
We may use the information described above to:
• Provide PDF reading, scanning, annotation, editing, organization, export, and sharing features;
• Save user settings, bookmarks, recent-file information, and annotations;
• Display and measure advertisements;
• Perform advertising attribution and campaign analysis;
• Analyze App usage and improve functionality, usability, stability, and performance;
• Diagnose crashes and technical problems;
• Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, and invalid advertising activity;
• Comply with legal obligations, enforce applicable terms, and meet app-store or platform requirements.
3. Advertising
FastPDF Reader may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising partners. These partners may collect or receive advertising identifiers, device and network information, approximate location, App interaction data, and advertisement-view or click data in order to:
• Select, deliver, and measure advertisements;
• Provide personalized or non-personalized advertisements, depending on your consent, settings, and applicable law;
• Limit how often an advertisement is shown;
• Measure campaign performance and attribution;
• Detect invalid traffic, fraud, and abuse.
Advertising partners are not permitted by us to access the contents of your PDF documents, scanned pages, annotations, comments, drawings, or signatures for advertising purposes.
Where required by law, the App may ask for your consent before using information for personalized advertising. You may change available consent choices in the App or through your device settings.
4. Third-Party Services and SDKs
FastPDF Reader may integrate third-party software development kits (SDKs) or services that provide advertising, analytics, attribution, crash reporting, diagnostics, consent management, security, and fraud-prevention functions. Depending on the version of the App and your region, these providers may include services offered by Google, Firebase, Meta, Liftoff (Vungle), and Pangle.
These providers may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, device and network information, App usage information, advertising interaction data, crash reports, and diagnostics under their own privacy policies and applicable legal terms.

We do not sell personal information in exchange for monetary compensation. Third-party advertising and analytics providers may process information as described above for their own permitted purposes. Their practices and your rights may vary depending on your location.
5. How Information May Be Shared
We may share information only as reasonably necessary in the following circumstances:
• With advertising, analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, diagnostics, security, consent-management, and fraud-prevention providers;
• At your direction, when you choose to export, share, print, back up, or open a document using another application or service;
• To comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request;
• To protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of users, the App, our services, or the public;
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
When you share a document through another application or service, that third party's privacy policy applies to its handling of the document.
6. Data Retention
Documents, scans, annotations, bookmarks, and settings stored locally remain on your device until you delete them, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App, subject to your device's storage, backup, and file-management behavior.
Information processed by us or our service providers is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and improve the App, perform analytics and diagnostics, measure advertising, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods may vary according to the type of information and the provider involved.
Uninstalling the App may remove locally stored App data, but it may not delete documents saved outside the App's private storage, files you previously shared or exported, device backups, or information lawfully retained by third-party providers.
7. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
• Request access to personal information relating to you;
• Request correction or deletion of personal information;
• Restrict or object to certain processing activities;
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• Opt out of certain personalized advertising or data-sharing practices;
• Lodge a complaint with an appropriate data-protection authority.
You can also manage privacy choices by:
• Granting, denying, or revoking camera, photo, media, file, or storage permissions in device settings;
• Resetting or deleting your advertising identifier where supported;
• Limiting personalized advertising through your device settings;
• Managing consent choices presented within the App;
• Deleting locally stored documents, scans, annotations, or App data;
• Uninstalling the App.
To submit a privacy request, contact us at support@yuanma.live. We may need to verify your request before responding. Because some information is stored only on your device and is not accessible to us, we may be unable to retrieve or delete that local information on your behalf.
8. Children's Privacy
FastPDF Reader is not directed to children under the age of 13, or to a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age without appropriate authorization.
If we learn that such information has been collected without legally valid consent or authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at support@yuanma.live.
9. International Data Transfers
The App's third-party service providers may process information in countries other than the country in which you reside. Data-protection laws in those countries may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used for international transfers in accordance with applicable law.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, encryption where appropriate, security monitoring, and least-privilege practices.
You are responsible for protecting access to your device and sensitive documents. No method of electronic storage or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Permission Disclosures
Camera
Purpose: To photograph paper pages for document scanning and PDF creation.
Our commitment: Camera access is initiated only when you choose a scanning or camera-related feature. The App does not activate the camera in the background or capture images without your action.
Photos, Media, Files, and Storage
Purpose: To allow you to select, open, import, save, organize, annotate, export, and share PDF documents and images.
Our commitment: The App uses this access only to provide document-related features and does not use document contents for advertising personalization. Where supported, access is limited through system file or photo pickers.
Notifications, if requested
Purpose: To inform you of relevant document-processing status, completed exports, or other App functions you choose to use.
Our commitment: You may disable notifications at any time through device settings.
Before requesting sensitive permissions, the App may display a prominent in-App disclosure describing the permission requested, the feature that requires it, and how the related information will be used.
12. Intellectual Property and Copyright
All rights, title, and interest in FastPDF Reader, excluding documents and other content supplied by users, are owned by the App publisher and its licensors.
You retain any rights you hold in documents, scans, annotations, and other content you create or import. You are responsible for ensuring that your use, copying, editing, scanning, and sharing of documents complies with applicable copyright and other laws.
If you believe content or functionality made available through the App infringes your intellectual property rights, please contact us at support@yuanma.live.
13. App Use and Uninstallation
You may stop using FastPDF Reader and uninstall it at any time through your device's normal procedures. You may also revoke permissions through device settings. Revoking a permission may prevent the related feature from functioning.
Uninstalling the App generally removes data stored in the App's private local storage. Documents saved to shared storage, exported files, backups, or information retained by third-party service providers may remain until separately deleted or until the applicable retention period expires.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, technology, legal requirements, or our data practices. The revised policy will be made available within the App or on the applicable policy page and will identify the updated effective date.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after an update becomes effective constitutes acknowledgment of the updated policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.
